  1. Bluh, status.net hates gifs. Uploading one as an avatar makes it go transparent on an apparently arbitrary colour, and uploading one as a picture does much the same, but thankfully only on the thumbnail. Time to convert a single frame of it to a PNG, I guess?

    1. @bitshift It's because gifs use indexed colours, and one of them is set to transparent. That random colour happens to be the colour in the pallet when it's not transparent. #

      1. @minti Still pretty bad on the part of status.net that it reassigns the transparent colour on uploaded gifs (though only scaled ones, it seems).
