@desiros Hello there.
-
@desiros wellcome baaaaaaaaaaaaack!
-
@clayinthecarpet hey
-
@desiros <3
-
@mushi thank yoooooooooooooou
-
@flamingpandaomg <3!
-
@desiros Is your last name really "Roseluck"?
-
@clayinthecarpet it might be lol no
-
@desiros Can't tell if serious or foolin'
-
@desiros doing anything?
-
@clayinthecarpet hm
-
@mushi nothing at all. just like usual
-
@desiros Well if it is, I must say that's awesome.
-
@clayinthecarpet its really not. internet pseudonyms and all that.
-
@desiros :3
-
@mushi :3
-
@desiros I was going to reply with the next verse but I'm too lazy. What's up?
-
@nerthos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6f6LDsPG_GI i am this video it is me
-
@desiros Sounds like the usual. Mom went to an art exposition but since I woke up really late I didn't feel like going anywhere.
-
@desiros Lies! It's actually me!
-
@nerthos sounds good
-
@clayinthecarpet Who's to say it's not both
-
@clayinthecarpet glares at you
-
@desiros Nothing quite as enjoyable as sleeping a lot. The cat life is for me.
-
@nerthos I think we can make a compromise on that thought.
-
@desiros Cheers to doing the loner dance, I suppose.
-
@nerthos cats can sleep for like 23 hours thats hardcore sleep
-
@clayinthecarpet thumbs up
-
@desiros They sleep an average of 16 hours a day. I don't think I've ever slept past 18 hours.
-
@nerthos i was sick one time and think i might have slept for a total of 19 hours off and on? I can't remember
-
@desiros Sounds reasonable. Sick sleep is weird though, it's never consistent.
-
@nerthos yeah, i'm not sure really how long i slept
-
@desiros I've sick-slept a couple times but like you, I don't know for how long. It's hard to keep track of time in that condition.
-
@nerthos time isn't exactly the first thing on ones mind when sick,
-
@desiros Yep. From the last time I only remember watching some TV and drinking gatorade.
-
@nerthos Gatorade is weirdly helpful for sick people and I don't know why.
-
@desiros Electrolytesssssss.
-
@clayinthecarpet yessssss
-
@desiros It's a liquid, so it's easy to consume, and it's designed to rehydrate and replenish salts and stuff that are needed by the body, basically what the body needs when sick.
-
@nerthos science is wonderful
-
@desiros Yeah. Everything related to recovering from sickness should be known.
-
@nerthos hashtag signal boost
-
@desiros Recently I've been slacking off and liking posts instead of going through all the effort of tagging things and reblogging.
-
@nerthos usually when i tag stuff i'm usually typing out some sort of life story in the tags and one of my favorite things to do is go to a tag cloud and enter my url just to see some of the stupid things ive said in the tags
-
@desiros I try to use tags to order post by categories, but yeah it's fun to write really long weird tags.
-
@nerthos i really ought to make a post compilation of all of the weird tags ive done before
-
@desiros That sounds amusing
-
@nerthos i almost did it once but now there are so many more tags to add
-
@desiros I remember when you did a tagcloud of popular.
-
@nerthos Oh yeah, it wasnt really a tag cloud though I just copypasted like ten pages of popular notices and stuck it in a generator
-
@desiros Hahaha I assumed you had done it in a more professional way. This way sounds far funnier though.
-
@nerthos lol no the whole thing was just a bunch of copypaste, im no professional
-
@desiros You never cease to surprise.
-
@nerthos im like this in real life, too. You think I'm quiet? I yell like a sonic boom and dance like a spastic idiot. You think I'm loud? I'll sit around and read without saying a word, glaring at anyone who speaks above a reasonable whisper. You think I'm smart? I'll forget my own name, struggle with simple concepts, and get lost with every step. You think I'm dumb? I'll recall every single detail about a day two years ago, read at a genius level and see through any ruse. My existence on its own is an enigma and I think that's pretty cool.
RDN's Lucifer likes this. -
@desiros You sound like a great person to hang out with.
-
@nerthos Then I'll probably end up being the worst person to hang out with. 's only natural.
-
@desiros I'd give it a try but we're too far away.
-
@nerthos Huh. Sucks for us then
-
@desiros I guess. Eventually I'll make some traveling around through other countries so maybe in a future we'll be able to hang out for a bit.
-
@nerthos sweet.
-
@desiros So far, in order of importance I have Spain, southern USA, Scandinavia, and the UK in the list.
-
@nerthos I wanna go to Japan and maybe look at Singapore?
-
@desiros I've put Asian countries somewhat down on the list since there's nobody over there I want to visit. China sounds pretty interesting though.
-
@nerthos fun!
-
@nerthos Why southern USA? Just curious.
-
@clayinthecarpet Because there's people over there I know and it sounds at least culturally like the best part of USA IMO.
-
@desiros I also have a list of things I have to buy in each place. For example a dressing sword in Spain.
-
@nerthos I don't disagree with that answer. I'm in the southern USA, myself. Outside of the bigger cities, it is usually pretty pleasant. Lots of open farm land and generally good, kind folks...depending on the region, of course.
-
@clayinthecarpet I also want car horns from Texas.
-
@nerthos what's that
-
@clayinthecarpet I envy you. I'm stuck up here in Michigan. I miss the South.
-
@desiros http://ur1.ca/g1ufu This. They were called dressing swords because they were worn as part of a suit, as opposed to other kinds of swords that were for war. They were mostly a self defense weapon that the higher classes carried with them.
-
@rancidrob Since I'll eventually go there myself it makes more sense to buy a pair while I'm there.
-
@nerthos cool
-
@desiros I lack the equipment and knowledge to forge that kind of sword, so I'll buy one in Toledo.
-
@lunanut I've lived in the south all my life, and mostly on farm land until recently. It's not that bad as long as you can find a decently-populated area to live with enough jobs to go around.
-
@rancidrob I'm not a fan of online shopping, really. I like to look at the stuff before buying it.
-
@clayinthecarpet I use to live down south for a small time until my job put me back where I started. However, come February I'll be back in Texas
-
@nerthos hm i feel like you made a reference to some game that I didn't catch
-
@lunanut I've never been to Texas...Tornado alley scares the crap out of me...even though I'm TECHNICALLY in it where I live now.
-
@desiros Nope. I know how to forge war swords, but thin bladed ones require special types of steel and a particular technique when tempering the completed blade, otherwise they break easily.
-
@nerthos WOAH cool
-
@clayinthecarpet that's only the very tip of Texas where tornado alley is. I lived in Arlington. However, no city beats Greenville South Carolina
-
@rancidrob I still haven't gathered enough money to buy the car I want so I've got time. I want one of these beauties. http://ur1.ca/g1uha
-
@nerthos Have you ever held/used an old, hand-forged sword or knife? It actually has this sort of unforgettable sound to it when you flick the blade...It echoes with a very beautiful ring that extends on for a few seconds. Hooray for forged blades!
-
@clayinthecarpet Yeah, good steel is beautiful.
-
@nerthos Good taste
-
@lunanut I see. I've never been to SC, either. :X
-
@clayinthecarpet your missing out. SC has great beaches
-
@desiros I still need to build a proper forge to be able to work with better steels. The kind used for car springs is pretty good for blades. I need my father to guide me while building the forge though. My grandma's brother will teach me some forging techniques he used back when he lived in the countryside and made knives.
-
@nerthos thats so metal
-
@awlderpy I'm in love with that model. I want to find one with the original vinyl roof.
-
@desiros I'm slowly becoming metal itself. I've been working on a steel chestpiece lately.
-
@lunanut I have been to Myrtle Beach and Nag's Head, though both are in NC...Nag's Head in NC is the best beach EVER on the east coast, and it would be hard to convince me otherwise. Such a nice, calm, quiet place. There is tourism, but it's of a more relaxed, non-college-town nature.
-
@nerthos amazing
-
@desiros I'll post pics on tumblr when I finish it.
-
@nerthos Please do! I'd love to see that, too.
-
@nerthos I've a few models that I'd still love to find and own one day. This one instantly comes to mind. http://ur1.ca/g1uhy
-
@clayinthecarpet I've been to Myrtle Beach SC myself. I won't try to convince you that it's a better beach, especially since, to be honest, I don't care for beaches much
-
@rancidrob Dodge GTX, early '70s. The v8 model was the most powerful car in the country when it was released. I agree with you on tastes. Cars have devolved in strenght and design from the '80s onwards. I don't really need a car, and if I ever do I can rebuild my mother's Citroen that is lying in pieces in the garage, so I'll take my time and buy the GTX.
-
@awlderpy I can't tell what model it is, but that car is beautiful.
-
@nerthos sweet. cant wait
-
@clayinthecarpet The last pic I took of it, obviously a WIP, is this one http://ur1.ca/g1uif
-
@nerthos 1970 Pontiac Trans Am; it definitely stood out from the usual muscle car and that's the kind of car I like; unique styling. Odd coming from someone who loves the typical wedge-of-cheese shaped 80's Celicas.
-
@desiros Should probably work on it a bit more actively now that I'm done with work for a few days. Didn't know you were interested on that kind of stuff.
-
@awlderpy I prefer Bandits car
-
@awlderpy Oh, that explains it. Pontiacs were never a thing over here, except for the ocassional car collector.
-
@lunanut I will always think the fascia on 1970-74 Firebirds was far far better than later years.
-
@nerthos At the time of that Trans Am they were becoming more and more like Chevrolet clones with fancy badges.
-
@nerthos sometimes i draw on my left hand
-
@desiros Yeah, I've seen some pics you posted on that. That was fun to do back in highschool.
-
@nerthos Cool! What's the material? What are your ultimate plans (IE: color and style) for it?
-
@nerthos highschool suck s but drawing is fun
-
@clayinthecarpet It's some 0.8mm steel I got from old computer cases. I'm probably painting it black with white or gold details.
-
@desiros Word. I was a happy man the day I finished with it.
-
@nerthos Sweeeet. Good luck on the build.
-
@nerthos are we gangsters now
-
@rancidrob I aim to own a Rambler Ambassador at some point, but that's a goal for the far future.
-
@nerthos joined
-
@desiros Cool. It's supposed to be a really exclusive club but you're cool enough for it.
-
@nerthos rad
-
