I don't know if I ever mentioned it on here, but at one point I was talking on the beta site about allowing users to publish docs with a syntax like that of the current StatusNet doc system and have a directory and stuff. Might be interesting if people wanted a place to keep fanfics or something idk. Would you guys be interested in that happening? It'd come after I fixed up everything else in the backlog, most likely.

@redenchilada Yes.

@redenchilada if you feel like it wouldn't be a big pain to implement then cool. I'd use it. I'm also good just using Google docs
-
@redenchilada You know what might be neat? The ability to tag others' dashes maybe..
-
@pony I'll look into it. Maybe different categories of "bookmarking" a notice? To differentiate it from normal notice tags?
-
@redenchilada maybe. I'm thinking it'd be nice to have, for example, the ability to group dashes that we or others didn't tag with other appropriately tagged dashes. If it were a bookmarking system that allowed users to both add and remove things then that could be cool too, but it wouldn't add much more functionality than normal notice tags would it?
-
@pony What exactly are you requesting, then?
-
@redenchilada I guess what I want might be impractical unless it's easily implemented. Instead of replying to a dash with #redashammo or !saved or @#subscription I'd like to simply tag the dash directly and have it show on the relevant tags/group/user page
-
@redenchilada forwarding basically I guess
-
♻ #testing Mustard forwarding ... @pony @redenchilada forwarding basically I guess
-
@pony I dunno if that would be a good idea, honestly. It'd basically be giving users the ability to throw other users' notices around without permission and I don't think I want that.
-
@redenchilada looks like mustard allows it. It could be done anyway by simply copy-pasting it. It'd be nice though if it worked in a prettier sort of way on RDN. "The choice is not ours. The power exists." Whatever. It's no biggie.
-
@pony Replying to it with the tag works well enough anyway. I just don't think the feature would get much (productive) use if it was implemented.
-
@redenchilada it works, but it requires clicking in context. Though now with the upgrade does the entire conversation now appear in a group or no? That would solve it.
