@mushi Oh, damn, i've had mine a considerably longer amount of time, and I still go and play Fallout 3 on it every now and then. But I have to hand it to my PS2 aswell, and my Nintendo, and my Atari... Maybe I have too many consoles..and mybe I care too much for them...

@mushi Primary reason because I am staying away from consoles alltogether might be because... Back when you had a NES and something broke, any bloke with a screwdriver could repair it for you. These days it s "off to the factory per RMA" and if you are lucky you do not have to pay for it. Computers on the other hand are no better off, but there are so many more different flavours, and if you have 2 laptops you can pretty much do ANYTHING. Want to do banking, and 1 thing explodes, you can still do banking, want a streaming media server, get an old desktop with it and you got a streaming media server, want to take over the world ? Well... Lets just say that I do not think you can hack your way into the worlds power distribution net on an XboX XD ... But I digress... Main reason as to why is basically "because they started to behave from the ground up like computers that have more restrictions in them than I would like, even when on 100 CC of morphine drip"

@critialcloudkicker yet, the series i like tend to be console exclusive or console avaliabe, so i'm not paying 3000 for a computer that requires constant upgrade

@ryanjjjj If you buy a good computer you can run everything at max for three years, and then play all games in mid-low for another 3. It's nice to have high end hardware all the time but you don't really /need/ to.

@mushi I "just" ( 6 hours ago ) bought a top-mid range ( top of the mid-tiers ) PC for just 800 EUR *goes to google conversion* ... Well seen as I am in Europe ( Tier 2 ) and Brazil is in Tier 3 or 4... 3000 Brazillian Real sound accurate enough.

@critialcloudkicker good gaming computers would cost about 3200 here, or at least they costed that last year when i checked it, now that there are more powerful hardwares they are probably more expensive

@mushi Bigger market means more made means bigger market means ( if successfull ) lower prices... Not the other way around. You might want to check up on it again, However if you just buy a complete PC from the get-go you are really likely to shoot yourself into the foot. At least halfway, If you have an IRL friend who can help you with it I would really recommend looking into it, if not. Well it is half a study you need to do upon it beforehand. And for your case... I am really not sure if PC's would win so far from consoles anyway. At least the XboX180 phone home every 24 hour policy is dead as in "alreadyburried"

@nerthos It is rediculous that a computer would cost nearly the same as a console, EVER. And I do not even know any specs about "a computer in brazil" ... I3 proc without a GPU ? I5 proc with a coolerless card, ? I7 or Zabmezi proc with a K9 ? World of difference

@deadmadness665 As netiher an optimist nor pessimist, but more like a realist. I do not care if there was any real evidence or lack thereof, there are so much more possible reasons why the game could never make it into my capable hug-range. Such as a fire at Bethesda, endless delays untill it looks as good as Duke Nukem Forever. I could go on... However if it were to land in my posession I would be so happy I probably would not be able to sleep for 2 days, out of glee, joy and fear of that ghoul/megamutant/Frank-Horrigan on the other side of the door

@mushi @deadmadness665 I would argue that the aestethics from NV give a better immersive feeling and is therefore superior... but... mainly you should choose it because it is harder gameplay wise and richer lore-wise... Also somewhat less Radiation
