              1. @rarity What would you recommend?

                1. @jamster a while ago I would have recommended Razer, but my fanboyism has worn off because everything I've owned from them has broken with regular use. I'd probably just recommend Logitech for headsets, since they are cheaper and last longer while sounding just as good. I also use Steelseries stuff and it's worked fine for me, but I've never used a headset from them so I can't help with that

                  1. @rarity I'll take a look at the Logitech website to see what they've got.

                2. @jamster @rarity I'd recommend these to be honest. They're a small swedish brand that is really good about cutting out unnecessary costs to deliver a good product cheap. Despite what it sounds like I am a bit of an audiophile and love the earbuds I got from them. You should definately give them a look. http://www.coloud.com/boom

                  1. @mylittlesistercantbethisincestual do they have ones with microphones? Because we're talking gaming headsets

Thursday, 02-Jan-14 14:17:36 UTC from web
                    1. @rarity i'm not sure. I thought it had a built in microphone but it might not be what you're looking for. It's got the thing on the cord which I'm pretty sure works fine but I'm no expert.

                      1. @mylittlesistercantbethisincestual I'm pretty sure most people prefer boom mic thingys for gaming

                  2. @mylittlesistercantbethisincestual I actually really like their website

                    1. @ceruleanspark i'm honestly in love with this company. They're one of the few out there that genuinely care about their customers and product. They're all very green (i remember my headphones the packaging was 100% recyclable and they made it very clear) and they manage to cut prices while maintaining quality. My earbud I've had for a year and they've been through the wash, sat on, even slightly crushed and they went right back together and work the same as day 1.

                      1. @mylittlesistercantbethisincestual I just bought some of the in-ears to see how they sound actually.

                        1. @ceruleanspark it does drop off in sound quality after a week like most cheaper headphones but I think that might be a bit of a placebo effect where I just think it's better than it is at first.

                          1. @mylittlesistercantbethisincestual Even if they do, I still have a perfectly serviceable set of decent quality in-ears I can switch back to. I mostly use them at work, in a fairly noisy environment, so miniscule variations in sound quality will probably be inaudible anyway

    2. @jamster that looks like a lot of money for something that, even if it makes a noticeable difference, would still do almost exactly the same thing as something much cheaper. I can here everything fine on a headset I got for 2600¥

      1. @mylittlesistercantbethisincestual It's £150 or 26166.23¥
