@derpyshy Ah, for the books, you will have to wait till wednesday/thursday. Then I will be home and able to tell you what they are called. They were reccomended to me by my uncle, who traded stocks as a side job and made enough to pay for his daughters treatments, a trip, and a way to move back to Australia. Remind me tomorrow about this, and I will call my parents to ask them.

@derpyshy Well, its sorta like that, but different. Stocks are like what make up a companies pocessions (sorta to speak). IF you own 40% of all of Company A's stocks, you own 40% of Company A. A lot of its done online.

@derpyshy The price of stocks varries, and it would take a LOT of money to buy even 1% of a company. (Depending on the worth of the company of course)

@renovatedkitchen Aaah! yet again, English is best pony -_- in norwhay we call It "Aksjer" which has nothing to do with the word trading/stocks. Isn't that like, you can buy cheap stocks when the company Is poor, and seel them for a higher price, if the company gets better?

@derpyshy That's exactly it. If you own a part of the company, this part grows in value if the Company gets richer - and you also gt part of the profit. If your part of the company is big, you can influence their business strategy more as well..

@derpyshy you'd need a majority of the owners make the managers force it. If you buyed very large parts of the company, those who had those parts would demand higher prices (law of supply and demand).

@derpyshy It is that sort of thing, but there is a lot more to it than that. The prices are always going up and down. The trick is to follow that pattern, and buy and sell as it goes up and down to profit you the most money.

@abigpony Thanks. I really do only want the best for everypony. It gives me pain when I hear that someone is very sad or going through a rough time. Sometimes I feel weird when people tell me I'm a good person. Sometimes I have a hard time accepting compliments. lol. (assuming it was a compliment).

@abigpony Oh, Im sorry to hear if you disagree with that :(. Its just I tend to be too sensitive, and end up trying to care for everyone. Stress and worry gets to me pretty bad at times. Sometimes I can hush it, but then It keeps bothering me until I think about it and go over what happened, or think happy thoughts for the concerned person :(. If I dont, it begins to eat away at me.

@renovatedkitchen I don't necessarily disagree with it, but I'm not really against it. I just can't sympathize. I guess I'm the same way, but I don't like doing it in public. if people are desperate enough to complain about a problem and seek emotional help, they can ask people instead f burdening other people with forced sympathy. I am glad to help people and have helped dozens of people out of the roughest of spots in their lives, but they've all pretty much had the common courtesy not to do it in public. I think it's a fear of not being able to help everyone and exposing a failure that scares me about the concept.

@abigpony I think you're doing it right. Being one of the "Public sympathy" people is killing me. I can't even sign into IM anymore without being bombarded with "CERULEAN FIX MY EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS FOR ME" and it is wearing me out. I miss normal human interaction.

@abigpony Yup. I know what you mean. In the case that I have nothing to add, I just provide them with all my support and energy to get through. I cant deal with things in public either. Heck, in any group with over 3 people, I will most of the time not even be able to speak. I hush up very quickly. Even if someone is being rude to me, inside, I feel bad for them, because I know that they are probably having problems elsewhere in their lives and find that this is the easiest way to vent. I dont mind bearing peoples burdens. I find thats what I do best. I always manage to stoop down lower than the person with the problem and have them take it all off on me in a way.

@abigpony I guess thats a better word to use. The way I see myself helping most people when they are at very low times is more like if someone was carrying a heavy bag of something, and I take it off their hands and smile as I see them skip happily along.
