What I liked about this week's episode was the implication that Fluttershy - a perfectly healthy pegasus - was as big a contribution to a flight team as a top-heavy stallion with tiny wings and anger issues, and a clumsy mare with vision issues and potential intellectual defects.

@thelastgherkin Pshaw! What I don't get though is why, if Bulk Biceps is such a weak flier, did he get into the Wonderbolt academy? Also, Why would Ponyville put two of their weakest fliers in the relay while Cloudsdale put what appear to be their strongest in it, and why, in light of how relatively awesome RD flies, isn't she a Wonderbolt already? #S4E10

@tia They specifically explained why Ponyville's A-team wasn't in the relay. "Good luck, Rainbow Dash! Sorry we couldn't fly with you on the Aerial Relay, but the air sprinters needed us too." "Too bad we can only compete in one event. But, rules are rules."
-
@thelastgherkin It makes sense, but I'm curious why Coudsdale didn't send their fastest to Aerial Relay or something else too since they have to abide by the same restrictions.
-
@tia I guess I just wonder why Aerial Relay gets Ponyville's dregs but Cloudsdale's cream of the crop.
-
@tia why Cloudsdale didn't send their fastest to the air sprinters I mean...
I guess RD wanted it that way so she could show off more. -
@tia Tactics, duh. Ponyville probably noted which Cloudsdale teams had the weaker flyers and sent their stronger flyers against them.
-
@thelastgherkin That would make sense along with Rainbow's ego.
