      @tia I assume you're using Windows... So you can use a VNC server that opens a web interface (like RealVNC (eew Java)) or any other VNC server and a web VNC client (written in HTML5 or flash). But either way you need to forward your ports in your router then.

          @tia you'd only need to make changes to your home router for this, not at the university's. But better to tunnel VNC via SSH for encryption
