      @lulu An exchange was hacked over christmas, but that's not really a problem with the money itself.

        @ceruleanspark If paper currency could be teleported from any given wallet then it'd probably lose it's value. Maybe the hack occurred due to some carelessness though?

            @ceruleanspark hmm I see. There are still ways to prevent it from happening then I'm guessing like a bank robbery. I guess all currency would suffer if robbers were powerful enough to rob any bank they wanted at any time without consequence.

              @lulu Well, most exchanges are sensible and take precautions like keeping the bulk of the funds they hold (those not required to cover day to day trades) in wallets not connected to the internet ("Hot" and "Cold" wallets). That way, the most they can lose is the content of the hot wallet.
