    I don't know why I'm even bothering to try this program, now that I think about it. I know I won't be buying it, because Adobe only offers its dumbass subscription service now.

        @pony Yeah. Around the time CS6 was released, they offered a subscription-based service as an optional alternative to paying the one-time fee. It was much cheaper on the short term than paying the one-time fee, but it was a recurring price that would last forever or until you canceled your subscription. With this new version, they completely dropped the option to pay a one-time fee, and now they only offer their programs through monthly payments.

          @mrmattimation Blegh.. although that means updates will come without a huge cost each time I suppose. I don't know how I feel about this, but I know it's not all good.

            @pony They also removed several legacy features with this new update, including the ability to save your files up to one version prior to the current one, which means if you decide to cancel your subscription, you lose access to all of your Adobe files.

                @pony There's one other Flash-based animation program that I know of. It's called Toon Boom, and while its brush tool is far superior to Adobe's, everything else about it is just awful.
