@snowcone ah, gotcha.
Thursday, 20-Feb-14 07:12:44 UTC from web-
Holy crap, I haven't been this productive in months, and it's only 9. What's up all?
-
@noirbatch Jokes. We've been posting for the lulz for the past few hours, and then made a group so that we can post the jokes that would otherwise make the mods mad.
-
@nerthos That sounds like fun
-
@noirbatch always good to be productive!
-
@noirbatch It was.
-
@awl It's a start lol, how lazy I have been it's jarring. What are you up to?
-
@noirbatch watching TNG and enjoying it. Yourself?
-
@awl Editing, and RDN as a distraction
-
@nerthos I love missing out on things and coming into the last of it out of context. This website is perfect for it.
-
@noirbatch best distraction.
-
@awl Yeah, It is slowly becoming one again.
-
@nerthos Oh boy
-
@noirbatch harmony is something we all strive towards.
-
@noirbatch It came to my mind, and it's the perfect way of njoying ourselves without the need for lawyering.
-
@nerthos Way to think outside the box friend
-
@awl I am itching to find it for sleep benefits lol
-
@noirbatch If only I had a big enough box.
-
@snowcone close to 50/50 isn't lacking really. Without a mix what's there to distinguish?
-
@awl You read the back of the box, duh
-
@nerthos It's how you use it brethren
-
@noirbatch sleep is always a pleasure. Until it's all you wish to do.
-
@noirbatch A cat can only fit in so small a box
-
@awl I'm already there
-
@awl Felling a tad philosophical aren't you? lol
-
@nerthos Dogs cannot :/
-
@awl You then oversleep and get back to normal, if with a nasty headache.
-
@noirbatch Thankfully I'm far more feline than canine in both personality and abilities.
-
@nerthos literally last night for me.
-
@noirbatch ah but never take me seriously :D
-
@awl I haven't overslept in a while.
-
@nerthos it was more or less forced as i started to feel restless upon returning from work.
-
@awl Noted lol ^-^
-
@nerthos I am quite the opposite lol
-
@rarity well I hope you find your way back to a more normal sleep/awake schedule. As in, wanting to be awake.
-
@awl I have been waking up early either because of having something to do or because my ear starts hurting in the mornings. A week or so to go until it doesn't hurt anymore.
-
@awl that'll need a radical life shift
-
@noirbatch And yet, funnily enough we get along gracefully.
-
@rarity Go full Latula
-
@nerthos oh yes i saw you had surgery on it. What was it for again, exactly, removal of excess cartilage?
-
@rarity or simply a hard reset.
-
@awl Yep. Basically this and waiting for it to heal back while applying injections for it to stop growing once it's fully healed. http://ur1.ca/gns7a
-
@nerthos I concur, we all put our pants on never, cuz dogs and cats don't wear clothes.
-
@noirbatch But cats do wear armor! http://ur1.ca/gns7m
Seth Edwards likes this. -
@nerthos ah. You don't think of your outer ear hurting until it's there. Nor how cartilage can heal itself in the proper element.
-
@noirbatch Cats excel as predators, to the point where they're ridiculously deadly and if unhindered drive entire species to extinction, hunting just for pleasure.
-
@nerthos reminiscent of Scythian armour.
-
@awl Cartilage is a really weird thing in regards to regeneration. Also pretty painful when harmed and awful tissue when it comes to injecting something into it.
-
@nerthos That sounds so ominous, needs the trailer guy, and some dramatic music.
-
@awl The filename says it's persian.
-
@noirbatch Some dude once moved with his cat to a small island to tend to a lighthouse and the cat by itself made a species of bird that inhabited the island extinct.
-
@nerthos i imagine it rather slippery. Never had a piece of ear taken off though.
-
@nerthos well it was a close guess!
-
@awl Funnily enough the piece removed had lost almost all it's blood when I saw it a minute or two after the surgery was complete, an it was almost white.
-
@nerthos blood flow to the outer portion of the ear; did you get a chance to touch it?
-
@awl Nah, I didn't even think of asking the surgeon to put it in a little jar for me to carry it home until I was out of the place.
-
@nerthos dang. Could have made Flubber.
-
@awl Good idea man. Well I can always take some ear as payback from the guy who caused me the wound in the first place!
-
@nerthos better late than never!
-
@awl Being honest I'd absolutely love to settle the issue with a duel, but the guy is both a coward and far, far weaker than me, even considering I'm out of shape, so he'd never accept.
-
@nerthos how'd he get you in the first place if I may ask?
-
@nerthos And everyone in my family knows that in a duel I'd absolutely torn the guy to pieces and thus would do everything possible to keep the duel from happening.
-
@awl Grabbed a long rectangular pole and hit me from behind. Tried to hit me a second time but I blocked it and grabbed him by the neck. Dad and two uncles grabbed me by the arms until they managed to force me to release the gasping coward.
-
@nerthos so he was like trying to "wake the dragon".
-
@awl He is an idiot. He most likely used a long pole to be able to run after hitting me. But I'm not going to fall to a coward, no matter in how big of a disadvantage I am at the start of the "fight". If he had any notion of consequence he wouldn't have dared to attack the most zealous, vengative and desensitized person in the whole extended family.
-
@noirbatch hey
-
@nerthos you have never stricken me the type who'd respond with anything but zeal if someone were to lash out at you, no matter of how little significance.
-
@awl I don't tend to strike first, but you can be sure I'll respond with ten times the strenght to any attack.
-
@nerthos what matters is that you finish it. Why do any less really.
-
@awl I'll talk to a lawyer soon, go through all the steps, and get him to court to put a criminal record on him. Then I'll wait until he inevitably tries to take revenge, and defend myself.
-
@nerthos perfectly pragmatic.
-
@awl It's a damn shame the era of honor is in the past.
-
@nerthos at least for some of us it still holds, and it may yet be resurrected. "Fights aren't fair" sure but they can be honourable.
-
@awl We just need to rewrite a few laws from this new world of the weak and venomous that we live in.
-
@nerthos get rid of the notion that to protect society we need overbearing government, for starters.
-
@awl And of the stupid idea of "life is sacred", which works in an utopian golden age, but not in the real world.
-
@nerthos such evil! Lol. Life can have a value as long as it is up to us whether or not we are judged for taking it. Of course coming from one who has done so, i accept the judgement and responsibilities that may come of it.
-
@awl I never said life is worthless. It does have value, but it must be taken away from some in certain circumstances to ensure those who have not been evil can live in peace.
-
@vt3c Or stop someone from taking theirs
-
@nerthos it was more assuring myself it wasn't worthless. One life cannot supersede society itself is what you're saying.
-
@vt3c Life is just a bunch of electrical impulses. You overestimate societal indoctrination. People are raised in modern times as to live in a world far more just than our own, hence why with life being so easy nowadays, with food, water, roof, electricity and even luxuries like internet being so easily accessed, there are millions that fall into depression or kill themselves after not being able to assimilate reality and reshape the ideas that were poured into their heads.
-
@vt3c Of course ^-^
-
@awl One life CAN supersede society. But the life of one who has chosen to forfeit his right to live by causing harm without justification isn't worth the suffering of others who haven't.
-
@vt3c *hugs back* ^-^
-
@nerthos there isn't an argument at that regard but i'm curious as to see what you mean by what one life can supersede society?
-
@awl Taking the life of someone who hasn't done any wrong to mantain society on it's feet is wrong. If a society needs to kill good people to sustain itself, that society is inherently flawed and it's better to erase it and restart it than to keep it going and taking lives.
Techdisk likes this. -
@nerthos suppose i saw that as invalid due to my thoughts that any society willing to kill innocent wasn't society worth being around.
-
@awl I'm confused. Isn't that exactly what I said?
-
@nerthos it is, i just didn't think of it at first as an example.
-
@awl Oh. The wording of your post confused me.
-
@nerthos it confused me as well. Invalid in this case, i probably meant, "a given".
-
@snowcone yes that would be preferrable.
-
@snowcone wish i could tell you what works for me and see if it could apply; moods come and go with the wind and sometimes quicker than that.
-
@snowcone Uberman Sleep schedule. Maximizes energy and minimizes sleep.
-
@snowcone that's good to know really. Sometimes tricks can work to shake one out, but nothing's a guarantee.
-
@snowcone had you named the bot by then?
-
@snowcone maybe you'll wish to try again? Or maybe that isn't your fancy, who knows.
