@redenchilada I had a question about computers. I have an opprotunity to get certified for Oracle databasing and was wondering if it was worth the time and effort and if you had any idea what it means. (Not what oracle databasing is I know that the certification part)

how about asking yourself this @question: @what could I do instead of that in that time (which is better, whatever criteria results in that "better")?

@erkanyilmaz i wouldn't be doing anything productive with it really but the real question is how much the qualification is worth. Because if it doesn't help much then there is no point dumping so much time into it.

"worth": if you're thinking about money-return or so: e.g. search in job-ads and look which and how many positions require such a "paper" and if you want to work in that field also. that paper may bring you in #advance of other appliers, that's all. I've seen also people #fake that, but it becomes clear then during interview cc @question

@erkanyilmaz Tell him/her to check the job listings (printed and online) in his/her location. In some parts of USA, lots of #Oracle jobs. In other areas, that may not be the case.

usually for the big #certifications one can also find the exam questions with solutions in the net. search them and look what they are about, it may also bring some insight

@redenchilada OCA and OCP certification through Oracle databasing. P(I think LC or L something or F something) I don't know. It's seperate from Oracle java certification but I can do that too. I just figure you're a guy who i know who know's computers and might have an idea.
