                              1. @mushi Buy a rice cooker. Put in one cup of quinoa, one cup of white rice, some herbs and spices, and about a cup of vegetables, then add water and let it go. Bam. Tasty, vegan, easy.

                                  1. @mushi I used curry powder. You can also dice in a potato, gives it nice variety of texture.

                                      2. @nerthos if you cook rum the alchohol will go away

                                          1. @nerthos maybe that is what scribus meant when he said you couldnt cook it

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:24:59 UTC from web
                                            1. @mushi I am pretty sure I can cook stuff with alcohol in it.

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:25:34 UTC from web
                                              1. @nerthos it would be harde, alchohol boils at like 80°C

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:26:18 UTC from web
                                                1. @mushi If you don't let the food go dry it won't be an issue. Plus, alcohol mixes with the water-based stuff in the food, raising the boiling point.

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:27:25 UTC from web
                                                  1. @nerthos it rises the boiling point, but it will still be lower than the water boiling point, so, when the first bubles of water vapor start forming most of the alchohol would have boiled already. Unless you can trap it inside the food, but that would be a cooking techniques and i dont know about those

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:30:32 UTC from web
                                                    1. @mushi Marinade does the trick for the flavour, not necessarily the alcohol.

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:31:16 UTC from web
                                                      1. @awlderpy well, i imagnie that, if you dip a potato in alchochol for long enough and put it into hot oil, maybe the oil would seal the alchohol inside, but then maybe it would explode

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:32:36 UTC from web
                                                        1. @mushi Using beer as batter or using wine in pan-searing are the only ways I know outside of marinading, to use alcohol to cook.

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:35:53 UTC from web
                                                          1. @awlderpy maybe it is possible to make a food that ferments into alchohol with some aging

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:38:29 UTC from web
                                                            1. @mushi Like barley?

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:39:04 UTC from web
                                                              1. @scribus but, but a food version of it

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:40:19 UTC from web
                                                            2. @mushi I was going to say wine or non-distilled vodka...

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:41:20 UTC from web
                                                    2. @mushi That's the thing, it's completely possible to do it if you know how to cook.

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:31:32 UTC from web
                                                    3. @mushi Also you don't actually need to put all ingredients to the fire from the start.

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:33:00 UTC from web
                                                      1. @nerthos well, there is also that, but it is like i've said, i'm ignorant about cooking

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:33:43 UTC from web
                                                        1. @mushi You should totally learn how to cook. It can be the difference between gut-wrenchingly disgusting and tasty.

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:35:28 UTC from web
                                                          1. @nerthos in the begining of the year i was thinking about it, but then i meh'd

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:39:21 UTC from web
                                                            1. @mushi You need to, to become a full grown man

Sunday, 04-May-14 01:40:26 UTC from web
