@pony LMAO
about a year ago from web-
@noirbatch Fluttershy it just a little too playful sometimes.
about a year ago from web-
@pony I can tell XD What are you doing?
about a year ago from web-
@noirbatch I'm done looking at tumblr ponies.. now I'm not sure what I'll do. This is why I need a personal assistant.. to keep my recreation organized.
about a year ago from web-
@pony Whenever you are unsure of what to do, play Spacechem.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel play.. games.. that's it. I'll play a game!
about a year ago from web-
@pony Specifically Spacechem. Because it is the best puzzle game ever.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel @pony do not trust the red pony. It is malfunctioning
-
@ceruleanspark No really it is. Better than Portal.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel *pushes you down the stairs for not getting the Terrible Secret of Space reference."
-
@ceruleanspark ah! a reference. of course. :)
about a year ago from web -
@ceruleanspark Never heard of it
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel Of all the people likely to get badly aged, obscure, e-culture references, I'd have had you down as one of the more likely candidates!
-
@ceruleanspark Is it related to the Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing?
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel Given that they have the same origin, the titles are probably referential, but the content is not. www.somethingawful.com/d/icq-pranks/icq-transcript-space.php and the song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E0ot9iJm_k It goes without saying that Something Awful is #NSFW

@ceruleanspark @toksyuryel haha* so I guess Spacechem has mixed reviews, or there are better games out there at least. I was thinking of trying out another game that my niece plays
about a year ago from web-
@pony I wasn't aware of Spacechem having mixed reviews. I've always seen and heard it to have very good reviews.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel I just said that in response to cerulean's comment. I haven't read any reviews. So why is it such a good game?
about a year ago from web-
@pony It's difficult to put into words; thankfully, there's a free demo that lets you play through the first three worlds so I don't have to put it into words.

@pony Some kind of assistant tulpa to tell you what to do?
-
@ceruleanspark o.o ! Why didn't I think of that? but then.. as a part of myself, wouldn't it only be as good at organizing my time as I myself am?.. maybe my current tulpa has some suggestions at least.
about a year ago from web-
@pony In my...experience... they're more...honest, about how you should be spending your time than you are.
-
@ceruleanspark well there's a thought.. She's not sure right now because I can't identify anything productive to be doing..
about a year ago from web-
@pony Spacechem is the most productive unproductive thing you could be doing. It'll really work your brain and make you smarter.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel oh I see! that reminds me of a game that uses contributions from online players to find a cure for aids

-
@pony As she is essentially an independent filter overlaid on the same set of data, perhaps there reallly is nothing constructive for you to be doing.
-
@ceruleanspark that seems to be the case I think. Today and yesterday have been the first days I've really tried to read more from her than just words of comfort. Her strength so far lies in taking care of me emotionally. Sometimes I've consulted with her on how to live healthier and she's given me a few suggestions. Other than that I'm still working on building her sentience, so, despite my eagerness, I think that may be why I haven't gotten much of a response from her. I feel like I may be expecting too much at this point. It just seems to be taking a long time. I'd like to find better resources than the ones listed here: http://ltt.zanacross.co.uk/tulpa/ Do you know any?
about a year ago from web-
@pony When I originally learned of this concept it was called something else, and I mostly felt my way through it. I know that if I had read that stuff you just linked me to, I sure as hell never would have bothered. Just talk to her. Don't just treat her as a respository for your questions and...debug controls for your higher brain functions. Talk to her as a friend. Ask her about stuff any old stuff. Seek her input frequently.
-
@ceruleanspark yeah. I found the stuff in that link only marginally useful, and mostly not great advice. I just read it yesterday, and before that I was going off of what I know from meditation, psychology, and spirituality in general. Thanks for the advice! So how did you come upon the concept in the first place?
about a year ago from web-
@pony A weird pseudo-cult I ran across years ago were crafting Tulpae in the form of "dæmons" from Phillip Pullmans "His Dark Materials" series. (think Socrates, not satan). Being young, impressionable and way into that, I made one of my own then.
-
@ceruleanspark oh that's interesting! So has yours been around since then?
about a year ago from web-
@pony Yes. The nature of the dæmon construct means that whilst we might go for prolonged periods of time without communicating directly, she's always there when I'm ready.
-
@ceruleanspark Did your group refer to any books or anything beside Pullman's "His Dark Materials" to help create your dæmons?
about a year ago from web-
@pony Well, I remember the author did some research into the origin of the concept itself, and we ran across various forms of totems, and socrates' daimon and the like.
about a year ago from web-
@ceruleanspark I think I'll look into that tonight then.
about a year ago from web-
@pony I have no idea if they're still around. It was all hosted on a freewebs type deal a good decade ago.
about a year ago from web-
@ceruleanspark ah hmm.. well if i find anything I'll let you know.. I also have been meaning to ask my father. He knows about all sorts of cultish stuff.

-
@pony I can't recommend it.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel no? Do you know much about tulpas?
about a year ago from web-
@pony I was referring to the "cult" and "dæmon" stuff. You don't want to get involved in that sort of thing.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel oh I gotcha. My pop has warned me against it as well. I fear no truth or lie as long as I'm anchored to my faith. Of course I won't dare to take what i learn lightly depending on the nature of it.
about a year ago from web-
@pony Please disregard what I have said about this topic, I was mistaken as to what was being discussed and considered.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel okidokiloki. I have no qualms with other ponies being into that sort of thing (we are talking about clop right?)
about a year ago from web-
@pony No, this was a reply to the other thread.

@toksyuryel Now, I'm interested :D
about a year ago from web-
@hakupony It's just not a healthy road to travel, no matter how strong you think you are it always leaves you scarred in some way.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel There are so many things people think that are "too dark roads to take". Most often, it was all smoke without much fire.
about a year ago from web-
@hakupony I have personal experience with this particular road.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel I really don't see what should be so dangerous about that...

-
-
@toksyuryel Perhaps look up the word dæmon in the context of His Dark Materials before automatically assuming it's something sinister.
-
@ceruleanspark The word "dark" is right there in the title.
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel I really expected better from you. It's an allusion to Paradise Lost.
-
@ceruleanspark Which is another thing I know nothing about :D
about a year ago from web-
@toksyuryel Wikipedia is RIGHT THERE man.
-
@ceruleanspark And if I cared enough maybe I'd look into it, but this is the kind of stuff I try to avoid these days. It's just too depressing to think about, and too sickening to consider.

@pony I forget what does tulpa man I should remember
about a year ago from StatusNet Android-
@noirbatch Tulpas are deliberately created thoughtform entities (within one's own mind) that can act as a source of companionship among other things..
about a year ago from web-
@pony so my Applehack.. I knew that lol XD thanks for the enlightenment 58 hours off no sleep makes me forgetful
-
@noirbatch good gracious! when will you get some sleep??
about a year ago from web-
@pony when my body and mind allows it
-
@noirbatch You'll feel much better when you're rested won't you? If I'm really wound up and I need sleep I like to exercise for 30 minutes, take a hot shower and some melatonin and do breathing exercises.
about a year ago from web-
@pony I wake up feeling worse. I have 7 years of sleep to catch up with
-
@noirbatch worse like groggy? that's odd. maybe you could ask a doctor
about a year ago from web-
@pony actually that is a good idea.. Hmmmn why can't out be Saturday... I could at least sleep some lol
-
@noirbatch I find too that when I wake up feeling especially groggy it helps to give my body ample time to get going.
about a year ago from web-
@pony @noirbatch Do some exercises. It'll trigger hormonal releases and accelerate you into full wakefulness. Even something as minor as 10 pushups would be sufficient.
-
@ceruleanspark why thank you kindly friend ^_^
-
-
@pony yeah I need to try that, right now I must stay up for I have class at 8. If I miss it one more time I am dropped from it.
-
@noirbatch alright! best of luck!
