  1. Pfftftftt. I only just realized I was talking to @bitshift's fragdev account.

    1. @redenchilada Yep. I would've responded over there, but that's not presently an option.

          1. @psquid Your account over here is neither silenced nor sandboxed.

            2. @redenchilada Okay, yeah, seems things are back to normal.

          2. @psquid I mean come on, I joke about banning people here for stupid things _all the time_. I never actually silence them (for more than two minutes).

            1. @redenchilada Yeah, I initially took it as a joke, but after several hours of my posts failing with a "sorry, your notice could not be posted" error, it started to look a lot less funny. Thankfully, it seems it was all a big misunderstanding, combined with StatusNet showing off its buggier side for a few hours. :)

              1. @bitshift If it was a silence it'd read more like "You have been banned from posting notices on this site."

                1. @redenchilada When I was briefly silenced on identi.ca in an overzealous spam-killing run, it was just a generic error message (whether or not it _should've_ been the generic one may well be another matter entirely); in combination with the _highly_ unfortunate timing in this instance, that was enough to lead me to the faulty conclusion of "I've been banned".

                  1. @bitshift And you didn't appeal to an admin? ;x

                    1. @redenchilada I figured if I _had_ been banned, it was justified, even though I couldn't personally see a good reason.

                      1. @bitshift And we all know chicken jokes completely justify a ban~

                        1. @redenchilada Like I said, I didn't see anything that looked like a valid reason, but I generally operate under the assumption my viewpoint is limited, so I assumed I was missing something about the situation.
