    3. @pony How about "plato". Does everything need to be a lame pun?

      1. @zeldatra I'm thinking you may be right in this case since it messes with the word origin of platonic

        1. @pony Besides, "Neighto" sounds more like an international alliance and military to me.

          1. @zeldatra I was thinking Plaithoof because plait is a type of braid and seems better than plate. The problem with using real names is that I'm creating an original history, similar to the real world, minus gender inequality. When describing the ponified version of Platto's philosophy, therefore, I'll be changing that too so not to reflect quite as much gender inequality, so it would be misleading to use the actual name of the original philosopher.

            1. @pony ok so just make up a totally new name. They didn't call Starswirl the Bearded "Gandalhoof"

              1. @zeldatra I considered that as well. Then it wouldn't explain certain etymologies like that of "platonic."

              2. @zeldatra So I guess Plaithoof will be a decent compromise...

          1. @loveydoe I am. At the moment, Twilight is giving a lesson in philosophy and history.
