@foxgopher XD that reminds me of a Norwegian movie called (translated) "Long Flat Balls", where 6 guys are walking shuttles down to a soccer-match, with Viking-hats on, abd each letter if NORWAY painted in their backs. But one guy first the paint, so it said "NO WAY!"
-
-

@woona They're legally obligated to protect their IP. The US has this retarded "If you don't slap people with cease and desists you lose your copyrights" thing going on.

@ceruleanspark You beat me to it.
Thursday, 24-May-12 06:10:51 UTC from web -
@ceruleanspark Only if the copyright is unregistered. If the copyright is registered you don't have to do anything about if you don't want to.

@woona Legally speaking they have every reason to do it. It's only in trademarks where you require intent to use the mark for a specific purpose.
Thursday, 24-May-12 06:09:42 UTC from web -
@woona There's another thing. Because of USA law, they're forced to take legal action aganist anyone using their intellectual property, or they lose the rights over it.
Thursday, 24-May-12 06:10:25 UTC from web-
@nerthos This only applies to trademarks and unregistered copyrights (and in the latter case only when it's not possible to determine the date of publication).

@toksyuryel Stupid USA laws are stupid.
Thursday, 24-May-12 06:14:47 UTC from web-
@nerthos Hasbro has no legal requirement to go after her on copyright grounds in order to retain their copyright. They of course always have the option to do so, but I don't believe they would for that reason alone. She has however been using their trademarks, and that's likely to be the real reason they did it.
