@ellie yeah. I consider that limited lurking. Even modship is limited in that you're keeping an eye open for any need to become active suddenly.

You know, i never understood the purpose of dedicated lurking, like never posting ever yet still keeping an eye on others' posts. That seems boring. I can understand limited lurking though.

@pony The only time I did dedicated lurking was when I was a mod but was busy with something else and thus didn't have the time to engage in conversation. Otherwise it's pointless.

@pony The point of lurking is to wait for new content the person writes. That's the whole point of social media like twitter and tumblr. Only a very small set of people do start conversations there.

@broniebrown I guess I can understand bigger sites like those for celebrity watching. I'm not sure about RDN or other forums though. I guess because ponies..

@pony It was pretty much check the timeline regularly while doing other things so it wasn't really tedious.
