  1. It really irks me when a family member calls me up and asks how to get WLAN to work on a laptop using windows 8. In this case they asked me to secure it, I made damn well sure it was secure. Also the SSID is hidden. In this particular case it was not even one of their laptops, and in the end they could not connect because the SSID is hidden and genuinly Windows 8 is a dislikeable SOB to me to begin with. Right now the connection info is on the streets because the phone conversation was overheard, and now I am afraid that I'm going to be called up winthin a month or so because the WLAN is no longer secure... ... ... URGH ! ... Also UPC WiFiSpots do not work because you need to edit your certificate requirements to make that thing work. ... ... And this all makes me really sad and wondering whether there really are laptops without a UTP port

      1. @nerthos First you insert this USB into your PC. Then you reboot. Then you press Shift + F10 and type "fdisk list disk" and you tell me howmuch disks you have, probably 1, you type "fdisk select disk 1" followe by "fdisk list part" and you tell me howmuch partitions you have, probably just 1, if not, then it's going to get more tricky... Oh yes

          1. @nerthos I have no optical reader in my gaming-PC. But I do have one in my laptop ( which I never use ) and my OLD laptop, which does not even yet know how to boot from USB ( Although I can trick it to do so using plop.at )
