@northernnarwhal Two hours of swordfighting, then I biked to my friend's for our Deadlands game, had a really good session, and biked home again (this time with all of my blinky-flashy lights on because it was night!). A whole lot of physical activity for someone with a desk job. Tomorrow morning is going to hurt in a way that has nothing to do with alcohol abuse! :D

@northernnarwhal LARP. Everyone pretty much has their own style, a couple people have Kendo experience but mostly it's freestyle. Also "swordfight" isn't necessarily the most accurate term - sometimes there are axes, spears, archery.... But today it was almost 100% swords. Though I did pull a Nerf pistol out of my waistband during one fight for some laughs. :p

@nerthos This is no worse an idea than building a horse facade for my bike and trying to joust in the LARP.

@scribus I've actually tried to use my dai katana from my bike and realized I'm completely capable of it. A shame it doesn't have the mass required to speed through things cleaving them in half.

@northernnarwhal I dig it. I'm basically playing Dr. House, on accident. I just didn't want to play a Doc Holiday knockoff, and it seems like House is the other side of that spectrum. Well, though, I do carry a few guns, and I'm pretty lethal with them.... But (almost always) only in self-defense! Hypocritical oath and all that.
