@awlditzy No. My dad's gone back to drinking and that'll mean a lot of screaming when mum gets home, maybe worse, all while I have to worry about school.

@awlditzy I'm not sure how much of this I should even share on the timeline, but I'm always worried about there being violence. It's happened before, intentionally or not.

@soren In what sense? Come Thursday I'll be able to take refuge at school, though that won't be without stress either. But I assume you mean like leave home, which currently isn't an option.

@mastertdi Unless you live in a big city you'll probably be able to afford an apartment working 30-40 hours at minimum wage as long as you grab some roommates or get a cheap place. The hardest part is getting transportation.

@soren Buh. I would actually like to try living on a university campus, but I don't think I'm prepared for something like that yet anyway. (Also moving out would likely make my dad drink more)

@mastertdi Joy is usually found when you're content with yourself- you'll find that even if your parents are being less than satisfactory, you can still be just fine.

@soren My parents aren't even the main cause of it, it's more about feeling inept in everything I do and feeling like I'm going to live a miserable, joyless life, but that's a dilemma for another day.
