@ellieellie GotG is what I've enjoyed the most out of the latest bunch of Marvel films as well, and I thought it was just good and not great.

@ellieellie Generally, if I'm on the fence about something it's a 5. If I like it, it'll be in the 6-7 range. The 8-9 range is for stuff I love. 10s are very rare and reserved for myabsolute favourites. 3-4 us general dislike and 1-2 is stuff I hate. I dunno uf anything is currently a 0 for me but I guess I'd say it's anything with that's just absolutely wrong or awful.

@ellieellie This is just off the top of my head so forgive me if I miss anything. Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Taxi Driver, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Metropolis are all definite 10s.

@ellieellie The fact that it's themes of man vs machine and industrialization are still relevant a little less than a century later are a testament to its timelessness.

@ellieellie The Great Gatsby, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, House of Leaves, The Road, Fight Club, and John Dies at the End are all 10/10 novels for me. There are more but that's off the top of my head.

@ellieellie I agree, the nonlinear storytelling methods employed in the original were really well done and made the novel incredibly fresh and unique.
