    2. @scoot Make sure you've got smooth shading on rather than flat shading. Makes things look a lot nicer.

          3. @scoot Also, while I'm modeling and texturing, but before I set up the lighting and all that, I place a hemi light so that I can get a good view of the model in full render mode, because the spot light is pretty kiwi and you can't see balls.
