@vt3c Dayum, how did that happen ? And by that I basically mean, why was the ROM crappy ?
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 18:46:49 UTC from web-

@techdisk Well, it is more like RDN is loaded on a VERY OLD laptop, pretty much everything is a pain to do, but rainbowdash.net/?realtime=1 is pretty much awesome on the thing

@critialcloudkicker ooooohhh that makes sense.

@critialcloudkicker hmm. I have an old laptop that aint doing anything right now... but nahh. it has a terribad keyboard.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 18:56:28 UTC from web-
@techdisk I use a DVORAK for lefties on that thing to be honest. I can't stand laptop keyboards, especially with how they (mis) place the mousepad on most of them
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 18:59:09 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker I got too used to QWERTY over many years, but I agree with mousepad placement. which is why i always carry a wireless mouse with me and disable the touch pad 24/7.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:00:23 UTC from web-
@techdisk I can't or lack the proper knowhow how to disable the mousepad on the laptop at work... Drives me halfway insane.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:01:30 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker on mine (a Sony) it's Fn-F1.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:02:26 UTC from web-
@techdisk Tried that, no sigar. Pretty much came to live with the fact that it is. So when I type I generally type with 1 hand ( right ) on a QWERTY keyboard ( which is still faster than the head chef ) with my wrist uncomfortably high. Luckily The longest I pretty much ever had to use the keyboard ( as of late anyway ) was to search for a proper model to cut in our pumpkin.

@critialcloudkicker what brand of laptop?
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:06:31 UTC from web-
@techdisk I'm pretty sure it is a Dell Lattitude E5610

@mrmattimation I'm 85% sure there is no Dell Touchpad under Mouse Properties under Control Panel. But I still thank you for looking. ( just to be sure I will mail this to the thing in question )

@critialcloudkicker Try Fn-F5. If that doesn't work, the driver is probably borked and you should sneakily reinstall them from the Dell site.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:12:37 UTC from web-
@techdisk 99% sure that triggers the scroll lock. I will let you and @mrmattimation know of my findings though :)
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:14:47 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker take a picture of the keyboard, or just start going through all the Fn-F# key combinations available to you, pressing them again (to disable) if they are the wrong combination.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:16:21 UTC from web-
@techdisk Tried the "try all the Fn-X combinations" strategy actually... Know what, I will go in early on monday morning ( maybe even on sunday because I have what you'd call the Rubix-complex, I have to solve puzzles once I get properly involved ) ... ... Wait, I just realized that the ICT department did an update to Windows 7 and they actually gave us the wrong one ( or somehting, it was not me who was on the phone with the guys ) and we do not have proper administrator rights unless if you have a smartcard, and you can't install a smart-card reader without administrator rights... Well we actually got the "wrong batch" of updates since they do not wanna give us a smartcardreader because we are "just kitchen personnel" but you get the idea, some proper Catch 22 BS going on
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:20:49 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Hmm. Either the IT people are idiots, or they are just as angry if not angrier.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:22:36 UTC from web-
@techdisk I'm just going to say "Yes, yes" followed by a bonus "yes" and mention that half a decade ago I had some trouble with the ICT guys on a pretty much same level ( sheer incompetence ) ( note : different IT team, different company ) whom heared from upper management to clam down on security risks with the USB non-security. They bolted and glued down on all non used USB ports in all PC's on the station, and installed some protection to not recognise nor install any USB device of which the hardware ID was not properly recognised. ... I was the first one who found a broken mouse ( it was litterally squished underneath a GI's boot )... So I just took one from my personal stock untill it was fixxed, it did not work ( what did you expect ), took me 2 calls, and an angry ride home to pick up an old Serial-Mouse, in order to write my damn report... Although in hindsight I could probably have done without the mouse if my super was not so grapes about spelling.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:29:03 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Yes, they did not bother to do anything with the serial nor LPT printerports because "Yeah, noone's going to hook storage on those things" ... Although come to think of it, I really should tr to write a program myself just to see if I can write a program that can copy files over LPT Serial or Game ports.

@critialcloudkicker It's usually one of the special functions on the F-Key row. On my laptop it's F5, which would be FN+F5 if I weren't in "special function mode".
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 19:02:48 UTC from web-
@mrmattimation It is a Dell Lattitude e5610 I think. But seen as it apears that noone installed the official drivers ( still in somewhat of a "battle" with the ICT department over that... well... screwups... they also did not install the WiFi drivers, even if we now have WiFi everywhere in the building )... Still if you can tell me how, I will love you 5ever

@vt3c I've been running TWRP and an older version of Paranoid Android on my phone for literally years. It's never given me any major problems that can't be chalked up to my phone simply being old and laggy.
Saturday, 01-Nov-14 18:47:18 UTC from web-
@techdisk (by literally years, I mean at least a year. certainly for longer than any other ROM including stock)

@vt3c I'm looking up USB jigs, and, uh, this one says that they only work with soft bricks.
