  1. In fact, if Jesus commited heresy, said heresy would become the true religion and former religion would be turned into heresy.

    1. @nerthos It's funny how organized religion works, isn't it?

        1. @nerthos I don't mean to tread on a sensitive topic but where would you say your viewpoints lie, religiously?

          1. @northernnarwhal Agnosticism. I do believe in the serious possibility of an absolute beign, but I doubt the reality of claims that prophets have written down the words of said entity, or that churches are their envoys. That doesn't mean I completely deny the veracity of many holy texts either, or the pious nature and goodness of the laws of many religions.

            1. @nerthos Interestingly enough, I too identify as agnostic. I disagree with spiritual absolutism, be it either confirmation or denial, but also understand why their are members of both schools of thought.

              2. @northernnarwhal On the other hand as I actively seek apotheosis, both denying the existence of a god and becoming a member of a church that swears servitude to one would make no sense for me.

                1. @nerthos I more or less accept a more open philosophy to the universe, but I'm not sure if I personally seek apotheosis since I feel that would be too rooted in megalomania for my ideals.

                  1. @northernnarwhal I think an active god is needed to bring true and absolute order and justice to all of existance, so aiming for apotheosis is the best course of action. Plus, in the case I reached it, I would have shed all flaws in the way so there's no way screwing up would be a possibility.

                    1. @nerthos I agree with everything you said, though the physical possibility of this is another story.

                      1. @northernnarwhal Well yeah, but aiming for the seemingly impossible is the basis of every milestone of humanity.
