I've had this game minimized for over three hours

@nerthos Thank you for reminding me! I was playing a game earlier and I forgot about it. Thank Artemis it was against an AI. cx
-
@theanneh What were you playing?
-
@nerthos Pokemon TCG online, my guilty pleasure!
-
@theanneh a good guilty pleasure
-
@mushi Do you play? c:
-
@theanneh no, but i liked pokemon TG
-
@mushi TCG
-
@mushi It's fun to play online. c: It's not exactly the best tcg in the world and is heavily based on coin flip mechanics, which is bad. So online is the perfect alternative to playing with real people.
-
@theanneh yes, that is the problem with pokmeon TCG, the excess of coin things, but it was fun to play. i'd get the TCG online, but it was only for ios, right?
-
@mushi That's why I played water/rain dance back in the day. Three coin flip abilities in the entire deck and I never used them anyway. Forget about Charizard. Blastoise won almost every game.
The game is made for PC. They likely have an iOS verson, but I don't have a mac so I don't know. They did just come out with an ipad version but... it's really buggy. Unplayably buggy. The PC version is stable most of the time. xD -
@theanneh oh, how much does it cost?
-
@mushi Free. There's no cash shop system, either. You have to earn everything in game or purchase IRL cards/packs to get codes for boosters/decks. OR you can buy the codes off ebay for like... 99 cents.
Unless you're in Canada. They have a cash shop. -
@theanneh ooh, that wont happen, then.
though i saw a cheap deck somedays ago, it was for R$25 (a yugioh booster pack usually costs R$20), but i didnt buy that. If the translation is accurate, the name of the deck is freezing plasma" -
@mushi If it's the deck I think it is... It's really OP for a theme deck.
-
@theanneh i wanted a scolipede deck, but these are expensive
-
@mushi Are they? I've only bought packs IRL and that was because I wanted a playset of the Gengar cards from gamestop. >_>
-
@theanneh here they are, at least
-
@mushi but they are still cheaper than a yugioh deck
-
@mushi That sucks. :C
-
@theanneh I don't think I ever even knew how to play the card game when I was a kid, I just collected the cards because I thought they looked cool :p
-
@northernnarwhal When I was a kid... Let's just say I learned how to play Texas Hold 'em when I was 8 and it spiraled from there. Did you know there was a Harry Potter TCG? I did. I had almost a complete set. I played pokemon, yugioh, and magic: the gathering by the time I hit double digits.
I have a problem. >_> -
@theanneh My grandma actually taught me how to play Blackjack when I was around 7-8ish, I later also learned different variants of Texas Hold Em (starting of course with the classic 5 card no-limit and moving on from there). I don't know how to play pokemon but I am very into Yugioh, I'm actually the founder of this site's official Yugioh group. I have a very basic knowledge of Magic the Gathering but I never got too into it. I actually had some of the Harry Potter cards as a kid but it's the same scenario as the Pokemon cards. I also do own some MLP cards but they're just the collectable cards and not the ones from the game. I actually remember my brother and I played this one Hotwheels card game (I know, right?) when we were younger though I can hardly recall anything about it.
-
@northernnarwhal Pokemon cardgame is most simple cardgame ever
-
@northernnarwhal Nice. cx I love fellow card game players~
-
@mushi Yeah I just never learned it when I was younger
-
@northernnarwhal Oops I hit enter too soon. You know, the MLP card game is actually fun. I was surprised. I got one of the decks and played with a friend. I had a blast! :D
-
@northernnarwhal I don't play the game. I don't find it fun anymore. :C Thanks though! c:
-
@theanneh Yeah I've heard good things about it, I know there are some people here who play it too
-
@northernnarwhal There's actually a community where my SO lives. Not me, though. Not anymore. I live in the middle of nowhere. I drive 2 hours just to get to a comic shop to play Warmachine. :c
-
@theanneh Damn, that's brutal. I live in a comfy little suburb so there isn't anything too far. Actually, my favourite record shop is about an hour drive downtown but other than that I can usually bike everywhere I need to go
-
@northernnarwhal I used to live like that. All my life I've been in suburbs.
Sigh. I miss it. I also miss not having hornets. -
@theanneh Aren't hornets the nasty aggressive stingy types or am I thinking of wasps?
-
@northernnarwhal There are yellow wasps, red wasps, and hornets. Hornets are the biggest and most aggressive of them if I am correct. We have all three because WHY WOULDN'T WE, but hornets are by far the scariest.
-
@theanneh Then why in the devil's name would miss them?
-
@northernnarwhal Wait, read that wrong
-
@theanneh It's mostly honeybees up here, only the occasional yellow wasp (didn't even know there were red ones)
-
@northernnarwhal It's k. I miss not having them. Also scorpions. And mosquito. AND WHAT INSECT DO WE NOT HAVE. My anxiety meds don't help with phobia panic attacks. ;;
-
@northernnarwhal I'm so jealous.
-
@theanneh Welcome to Canada eh
-
@theanneh Oh, actually if you further north of where I am (like, cottage country) the bugs can get massive. Like I've seen moths roughly the size of my hand.
-
@northernnarwhal And you get snow. :C
-
@northernnarwhal That. Is. Horrifying.
-
@theanneh Yeah, it's scary as hell if you leave you light on at night because then you just keep hearing a thud from one trying to get in to the light
-
@northernnarwhal Doesn't help that I'm scared of the little moths. I don't even want to think of the BIG ones. XD
-
@theanneh We do get snow, which does have its own responsibilities attached to it butis ultimately really fun. I love the winter atmosphere.
-
@theanneh Oh, and don't even get me started on the dock spiders. Christ those are scary.
-
@northernnarwhal I lived in a state that snowed for a while. It was wonderful even when I had work at 4am and had to scrape ice off of my car and drive on roads before they were de-iced. xD
-
@northernnarwhal We should stop talking about insects 'n arachnids. >_>
-
@theanneh I remember as a child my school bus stop was at the end of the street (which was also where the snow plows pushed all the snow) so my brother and I would have this massive snow mound a few stories high to play on before school. It was so much fun.
theanneh likes this. -
@northernnarwhal OMG That sounds awesome.
-
@theanneh One of the perks of Canadian winters
-
@theanneh Never played that. Is is it any good?
-
