    If I was doing a Pony abridged series, I'd split up A Dog and Pony show and intercut some non-Rarity episodes in the middle, so it's like she gets kidnapped and they don't rescue her for weeks.

      @thelastgherkin I guess you could do the same with the part where Celestia destroys Twilight's body and fashions her a new princess body.

        @thelastgherkin How about a Stargate crossover? Princess Celestia is actually a symbiont and switches bodies from time to time. She looks for new bodies (i.e. princesses) and take them over. To remain the disguise she sends the princesses on dangerous missions and uses them as opportunity to "kill" the princesses off and take over their bodies and use the princesses' powerful magic to create an illusion of her public appearance. Thus she appears to be never aging and ever-living.
