  1. Actual question in Civil Rights class: "What's the difference between bias and prejudice?" Actual unrelated tangent the same guy tried to put us onto: Minimum Wage. Actual debate that (thank Thor-Buddha-God-Cthulhu-Celestia-etc) never took hold: the legitimacy of people's medical conditions. And our trainer, the guy training us on civil rights, is so "Eh, whatever" about the topic that it's almost comical! I expect him to refer to people as "whiny cripples" at any moment.

    1. @scribus Difference between bias and prejudice... Bias is when I have data that prefers a certain side. Prejudice is very similar but with a lack of sufficient data that might lead to a false judgement.

      1. @broniebrown But what does any of this have to do with not telling people in a wheelchair, or homosexuals, or transpersons, or Jews, or PoC or whatever to takee a hike?

        1. @scribus It's all about putting yourself in the position of the said groups and thinking about how you want to be treated. The person in the wheelchair wants to reach all their destinations with ease. The rest just wants to be treaded with respect, dignity and as actual people. You could say that's a way of gaining information to reduce the amount of prejudice.
