  1. I might have finally gone to the point my heart is strong enough, and my lung capacity's high enough, to run until my leg muscles start to ache. I haven't tried because of re-habilitation but 15 minutes is more and more like a breeze and not a tornado.

    1. @saintnichawlas Good news!

      1. @scribus hell to the yes. You still jogging?

Thursday, 11-Dec-14 20:18:39 UTC from web
        1. @saintnichawlas Uh... not really. I tried a while back and my achille's started giving me hell. Trying to get into a gym routine on the elliptical, though. Should be easier now that work is closer to home.

          1. @scribus nice. Keep it up man. It starts getting fun, sooner or later, depending on how crazy one is.

            1. @saintnichawlas haha. I'd really dig a workout partner, but most of my meatspace friends are even lazier than I am.

              1. @scribus partners are a great way to go, better than music if one were to choose betwixt them. I had tried getting back to running for years but my last girlfriend helped me stick to it tremendously.

                1. @saintnichawlas I've also considered signing up for karate classes again, but that sits right up on the list of expenses I don't need.

                  1. @scribus Depends on how often you think you'll use karate or how beneficial it is when it comes to exercise... never imagine learning fighting styles as exercise but I was taught krav maga and boyevmetod outside of basic, just as necessary training.

                    1. @saintnichawlas Isn't Krav Maga the no holds barred Jewish fighting style?

                      1. @derpy128 Yeah, but there are holds barred. Just doesn't seem like it because it isn't... artistic?

                        1. @saintnichawlas I totally understand what you mean. It's very open-ended.

                    2. @saintnichawlas I find it a pretty solid total-body workout. I don't think I'll have to fight much, if ever, but it can't be bad to know. And I enjoyed the hell out of it when I was younger! :p

                      1. @scribus Nah, never bad to know how to hold your own. I was a bigtime geek before the military, so I never got into fighting styles.

                            1. @saintnichawlas Previously I guess it was Donatello from TMNT (even though Leonardo was my favorite). I really can't think of too many popular fictional characters I shared my name with.

                              1. @scribus I barely remember TMNT but then again I was more a Disney Channel kid.

                                  1. @derpy128 The movies were really the base of the iceberg. Ducktales, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, Talespin, even Goof Troop. Great shows.

                                      1. @scribus Was that with Donald's family including Daisy or am I thinking of something else. I forgot to list Darkwing Duck, whilst we're at it.

                                          1. @derpy128 Don't think they were related but in the back of my mind I want to say there was a sort of cross-over... I mean Gadget and Launchpad were in the show too.

                                          1. @scribus The things that stand out to me most really was Goof Troop and a re-showing of Pete's Dragon, along some film I don't recall but also with a pet dragon... think it was Don Bluth but never in theatres.
