Ah gotcha. See, I've stopped sharing interests with my childhood/longer term friends since a long while ago. Kinda feel like dumping them, but at the same time, it would be awkward and stuff as we'd still see each other now and then

@yodelerty That's an idea, but then I'd still have to hang out with them, and it's honestly boring. Especially because all they usually like to do is get high and drink. I like drinking myself, but there's nothing to do then when drinking with them

@saintnichawlas @ellistia It's not about just sharing interests, it's more that they like doing other things that I find to be extremely boring or a waste of money

@renovatedkitchen I mis-understood initially; actually I lost a few longer term friends when I decided to stop drinking but all the same. They weren't really friends if all they wanted to do when around me is get drunk.

@yodelerty Yeah. I've just been trying to fizzle them away. So therefore no awkward situations, and can still catch up later on

@saintnichawlas They all like drinking, getting high and go to a theatre, bar, club, etc. I like drinking, but also working on cars, flying, scuba diving, etc

@renovatedkitchen Oh, mis-read again. Eh. If you can deal with the awkwardness of having to see them round after losing touch, why not do it. If not... well work your way to it I guess.
