1. Hey everyone, I'm doing a little experiment with an alternate account I have for Facebook. If you could add as a friend on their that would be really helpful. I don't post and you shouldn't get spammed or anything but if you do just let me know and I'll shut the account down. Thanks! (and if you feel like being a friend on my actual account just look for the friend who has the same name as the alt account)

    2. @macpony55 May I ask, what is the experiment? What is it for? OOOOOO! OOO! What are you trying to find?! :O

Monday, 29-Dec-14 05:25:36 UTC from web
      1. @metaltao Actually I found an ad on teh interwebs where a company supposedly pays to have full access to your Facebook so they can use the pay-for-advertising feature beyond what the limits on their own account is. It's a cool idea but obviously pretty sketchy which is why I don't want to give them my actual account. The alt I've had for a while and now I'm just fluffing it up to make it look more legit. Assuming the company is telling the truth and not just hijacking my account then I'll spread the word about how to get in on it.

        1. @macpony55 OH HEL NO! Get that off, get out, Leave that, dissable, Change passwords! That bananas is a scam! They use it to post spam. And, they also see what is in there. So, they know how new it is. They can hold back their devious actions until they get the real deal.

Monday, 29-Dec-14 05:32:28 UTC from web
          1. @metaltao Don't worry, nothing has been done yet. I'm not rushing into it, I just want to see how they use the account.

            1. @macpony55 Dude, you know what can happen right? They can wait, until they have tons of accounts, and then they release what ever they plan on doing. A trojan horse?

Monday, 29-Dec-14 05:34:48 UTC from web
              1. @metaltao I'm sure they already have plenty of accounts, the passwords along with emails used are all new, temporary ones that won't stay, and nothing on the account is correct aside from my name which they already have. So they won't be getting anything from me other than exactly what they asked for - an account that has been active for more than a year. If they complain at all about it I know it's a scam and can kick them off.

                1. @macpony55 And, may I add, it is simply impossible to gain money that way? Ad revenue works like this, You make a company account on Facebook, You pay Facebook money to Host your Ads, they do so, you then wait for people to click on it and buy your stuff. ANd that is it. Butt, some people hire other people to do what you are doing, hosting click bots, they click on ads, getting them more noticed so they can be more likely to be seen so their products sell better, this means, they have to have access to peoples accounts. They then do this by promising other people to give their account access to others so they can have an off-local computer then use your account at same time you use your account to then click on their clients adds. It is against FaceBook Policy and, they sometimes steal other info, it is technically legal to take info from some one who purposely gave it to them.

                      1. @metaltao Yeah, it's fine. I've been in conversation with the sender, last message was "(My name), yes the entire time while we're using it. We request you remove all mobile device applications like messenger if you need to. If you're not comfortable with this, we understand. Thanks"

                        1. @macpony55 Strange they didn't give you access to a Website, Location, or hell, even a company name. Or a signature at the end... This whole document sounds like a back water sender.

        3. @macpony55 This is not a charity, stuff like this is technically illegal, and if it is true, it is bound to be diluted by some obvious economic bull honkey.

Monday, 29-Dec-14 05:34:09 UTC from web
          1. @metaltao I think that's the general idea

Monday, 29-Dec-14 05:35:40 UTC from web
            1. @macpony55 The general idea? To wait until everyone is experiencing benefits then they turn on them high jacking everything? Dude, they have full access to your account at ANY moment... A few years and they can log everything, black mail, personal messages, access to E-Mail, and other personal info. That murdock sells big money on the blackmarket.

              1. @metaltao Except there's nothing on this account worth anything, which is why I feel safe using it for this purpose.
