Three black guys walk into a bar. The bartender looks over and goes "Oh, this must be one of those bar jokes." He was then fired for his inappropriate comments. Racism is no joke, kids.

@mrmattimation what if they are and it just makes them feel more at home in a place where no one else speaks japanese on a regular basis. (i used this example because we have foriegn kids at my school and we learned hello in their languages to be nice and make them feel more included

@idiotrainbowdash It's like the same thing as going up to a black guy and speaking Swahili at him. Just cause he LOOKS Japanese doesn't mean he's actually from Japan.

@mrmattimation what if you know hes japanese! this happened with me and my friend! i already said we learned hello in the foriegn studenrs languages and i said hello to the japanese kid and my friend said "thats racist"

@idiotrainbowdash It's both a good and a bad thing. On one hand, you can shrug off accusations without effort. On the other hand, actual racism can be easily swept under the rug.

@nerthos yeah. there was this one time a kid at school was fighting with a black boy and she said "your as brown as retarded coffee" and they all laughed and said "racist! racist!" but i could tell the boy was really offended

@idiotrainbowdash I don't actually think insults being thrown around during fights are an issue. The whole point of insults is to offend the other person. Problematic racism is giving advantages/disvantages based solely on ethnic background, insulting someone isn't really a worry.

@nerthos it repeted and everyone called him coffee biy for a long time. it was really sad. he got kicked out of the robotics club. (i know because im in the robotics club)

@dragoon Right but I'm Hispanic and I don't think jokes about Hispanics being criminals are offensive. That doesn't make them not racist.
