      @meloetta 7, Vista, and XP SP2 compatibility modes didn't change anything, and neither did disabling visual themes and desktop composition.

        @redenchilada I feel like most things I could recommend you probably already thought of. It's a long shot, but have you tried closing Windows Explorer while playing it?
