  1. Pizza Part 1:
I think I have had my world-view seriously challenged by Pizza and the breaking of bread.
In my current and existing world view the act of getting and eating pizza is the act of breaking bread together with friends. That’s why the thing is round. Its very shape, how it can perfectly cut into slices, allows for the most fundamental of human activities, breaking and sharing bread between friends and strangers.
And my approach to that takes the form of, buying a pizza from a shop (where you can also choose other things to buy, Green Pop! Chocolate ect) and you can take it home and cook it, where it becomes even more of a social dimension, with cooking it at home, it can bake while you do other things (put a film on play games ect) and then get it out of the oven and share it out.

    1. @vcgriffin By cooking it at home it adds to the sense of community, sure you have not baked it your self, but you have too. (This is the notion that makes cake mix sell so well) It adds the pride of having made something the with feeling of community of being able to share something you have made with others.
Breaking of bread with friends in this way is a way of renewing the ancient rules of hospitality or baseline communism .

      1. @vcgriffin That s fantastic! My word! This was fun to read. I have noticed this to, but have never went into detail about it. Nosiree.
May I also add that since Pizza can mathematically be divided with ease, toppings and what you want on your pizza is not an issue as everyone can agree how much you want, and how much you get compared to the area of how much pizza you have.
You may also enjoy this little tid bit here where this man finds a lot wrong wth current sexual metaphors that are used in schools. And, finds that Pizza, (As odd as that sounds.) to be a more fitting metaphor. For it promotes the idea that sexuality is an activity between people, and not a competition. http://pny.lv/der8

      2. @vcgriffin Hell as long as the custom of breaking bread is still followed somehow it's a good thing. A sign that we haven't become completely anti-social and narcissistic.

      3. @vcgriffin Getting Pizza delivered takes away from this group shared experience (I know that It can be otherwise, if you order a really big pizza and share it, but roll with me here). Take away pizza is more of an individual consumer act, you get you own food, pay your own money and everyone is happy by themselves. Take away pizza helps re-enforce the idea that 'The only acceptable ideology is consumerism' and consumerism is the individual not the group. Its the antithesis of what pizza should be about.
