@jakefromstatefarm To put it in another way, if it would be too painful and terrible and depressing to cut that person out of your life and snip away all the bonds you've built with each other just because of unrequited love, then wouldn't it be more beneficial just to keep them around as a friend with the bonds you've already made?

@jakefromstatefarm I've thought about that quote a lot over the past day or so. It really resonated with me and helped me to realize that loving somebody who doesn't quite feel the same way for you and just wants to remain best friends isn't necessarily something you need to fret over. If that person's very presence is enough to brighten your day and make it fuller, then why sweat it?
