    1. @scribus Whoa. That's nice. Pretty much the first 3D pony picture I've seen that hasn't made me want to tear my eyes out, too.

      1. @bitshift I don't really see too many 3D ponies. I think I've only ever seen that insanely-detailed Rarity one, which I may attach if I can find it. . . Except it's over the size limit. There we go. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/95007

        1. @scribus @bitshift quality 3D ponies look awesome, but they don't seem common

          1. @pony It is probably hard to do, I know I'd just see it as one extra D in which to suck at art. :P

            1. @scribus I should try my hoof at it some time maybe.

              1. @pony No reason not to! :)

                1. @scribus @minti It's just really time consuming. like vectors on steroids.

                  1. @pony That's exactly it. xD He has the patience of a saint though.

                  2. @pony Yeah... I guess it really is just vectors +1. Hmm.

                    1. @scribus @minti hmm.. I think I'll give it a try now. http://usa.autodesk.com/maya/trial/

            2. @scribus xD It is really hard. I know someone who's trying to learn xD

              1. @minti depends on what program you use. I prefer Maya.

              2. @minti It's not /that/ hard, it's just really slow xD

                1. @nerthos It is for me when I ragequit after making a sphere. :< xD

                  1. @minti I just make spheres and then drag the points one by one. Like molding clay. Probably I succeed at doing it because I know how to work with clay.

        2. @scribus Holy moley, that's good. Most of the ones I've seen are various scenes played out with the GMod pony ragdolls which... honestly aren't great, even with a good GMod animator at the helm (and plenty of videos don't even have that).

          1. @bitshift I don't know how much GMod I've seen, but I've seen a lot of various game mods (like for the horses in Skyrim and stuff), and they've been a mixed bag, indeed.

    2. @scribus proper use of the models, indeed.
