What makes this game work so well as a multiplayer game is the fact that a single player really can't carry the team. It works pretty fundamentally on team synergy, so when you win the effort justification comes from mutual collaboration.

@redenchilada Yeah, that's pretty much /why/ you feel like a badass when something like that happens. It's difficult to pull off, and usually if you do coincidence or a special weapon played some role in your play.

@redenchilada I think there is if you have 7 friends to play with... but yeah, that's not likely. If I recall correctly we could still play together or against each other with other people online, though my Wii-U remote is charging right now so it would have to be a little later.

@northernnarwhal Yeah, you can join your friends in their worldwide games, but I don't think friend-only lobbies are a thing. Honestly, it was hard getting four people together for Smash, so getting eight together would be a huge hassle.
