  1. It's exhausting fighting against noise pollution in my neighbourhood and making the construction firm not to work before 7 o'clock. The police couldn't help, and the city officials neither at this point. All I can do is to nag constantly until something changes. I haven't slept well for a month because some idiot workers working for an idiot firm have to wake up a whole block with their machinery and slamming of doors and buckets. The sleep deprivation sucks all motivation, concentration and life out of me.

    1. @adiwan I wish you the best of luck with that whole ordeal, sadly, I am coping with something very simmilar. Although I guess that going to bed early enough so that I do not have to cope with any of it is somewhat of a sollution ( for me ) ... too bad I am too stubborn to do that.

      1. @critialcloudkicker I try to get to bed early to get some rest but my body's inner clock makes it very hard to get sleepy before midnight and to my detriment my body's deep sleep phase is not so far away from 6:00.

          1. @critialcloudkicker It's just a wild guess because my parents wake up and my father goes to work and I usually don't notice that.

            1. @adiwan Ohh, its a wild guess :) I actually had my sleep tested on multiple occasions. From what I remember you have 4 stages of sleep ( and the stage called awake ) ... Stage 1 light sleep, stage 2 light sleep, stage 1 REM ( deep sleep ) and stage 2 REM ( Deeper sleep ? ) ... I spend most of my time in Stage 2 light sleep and jump straight to stage 2 REM sleep very briefly around 2 - 8 minutes around 10 to 25 times. I am what they called "a freak"... Sadly, I have the same problems you have on a thuesday and friday. Luckily I can offset this by quite a lot by going to bed early ( which might have something to do with playing GPS games in my free time on mon- and thursday, so I am nice and tired and craving for bed around 22:00 )
