    I don't understand why people use Windows for those stupid information displays that do nothing but idle and crash eventually in a bsod or pop up error messages. The busses here use displays to tell which stations are ahead. Now I see that a window for file indexing poppded up. One other time I saw the start menu in win classic style that covered a good chunk of the screen.

      @adiwan Here they use Ubuntu (with the app running in Chrome). I would think you could get away with a much lighter distro, though.
