  1. Great cover of an amazing song, @riley in particular would certainly dig this. I've had this on repeat for a while now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6krmom_hjEE

    1. @northernnarwhal Man that goes up there with Mad World and Hurt, as in I don't know if I like the cover or the original more.

      1. @appawljack I love the original Hurt (The Downward Spiral in general is an exceptional album) but ever since I've heard Cash's version it's hard for me to really look at the song in the same way. Especially with the accompanying music video, god damn if that doesn't move me no matter many times I see it.

        1. @northernnarwhal I didn't even know it was a NIN song when first hearing it, kind of like I didn't know Mad World was Tears for Fears.

          1. @appawljack I did, but that's only because I'm a long time NIN fan so I was into them before I got into Johnny Cash. I did, however, think that Mad World was by Gary Jules for the longest time though, didn't even know it was Tears for Fears until years later.

I know when I first heard James Blake's cover of Limit To Your Love I honestly didn't even realize it was a cover, and even after hearing the original I preferred Blake's version (which he really made his own).

              1. @appawljack Yeah, it's actually a Feist song! I never knew.

                1. @northernnarwhal I think I feel the same way you do about that song, it's like two different songs not just versions.

                  1. @appawljack Well, in the case of James Blake it is a different arrangement. His version fits in with the cold and isolated electronic minimalism prevalent throughout his debut record.

                    1. @northernnarwhal Whereas there's a heavy R&B feel with Feist's. At least is how I'm hearing it.

                      1. @appawljack Definitely some R&B in hers, though I'd say if there was one particular style that it fit into it would be baroque pop.
