@rarity You do realize in the description of literally all of his reviews he says "Y'ALL KNOW THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, RIGHT?" so it's not like you have to agree with his opinion on any artist.
As for Yung Lean, he did initially refuse to do a serious review of him around the time Unknown Death 2002 came out because Yung Lean kind of built his aesthetic around things Fantano considered memey, but when he saw the reception that got and people gave him crap for it he did an actual review of him when Unknown Memory came out.

@northernnarwhal Isn't that true for all reviews ? I mean, I could go read a review by the westborough baptist church about pokemon... At least you know the colour of the bias up front. And that is my point. All reviews have/carry bias.

@critialcloudkicker All reviews do carry bias, Fantano just puts in that disclaimer as a reminder to people who might believe otherwise.

@northernnarwhal Soo. Isn't it up to his followers to call him out in that if they deem it bad ? They are not though ( IFAIK ) so they must be cool with it ?

@critialcloudkicker The issue here is that he initially refused to review an artist because he considered the artist a meme, and therefore his first review of the artist was responding to a meme with a meme. Many of his fans felt he was being sort of reductive and unfair to the artist, and so he acknowledged that and did a genuine review of the artist's next big project. This isn't about people getting upset because he dislikes something but rather why he disliked it (initially, anyway) though he's since done an actual review where he looked at the album the way he'd look at any other album.
