  1. The one chase between Red and I a few matches before we stopped playing was pretty cartoonishly hilarious. I swam up the wall to take him out, he took a shot with the 3K and missed, I activated the Kraken, chased him down the tower where he narrowly avoided my jump attack, I cornered him into a shootout, and then I just barely took him out because the .96 gal deco has crazy good power.

    1. @northernnarwhal I should probably go back to using the .96 more before I become a filthy charger main

      1. @redenchilada Before the .96 gal deco came out I was maining the Custom Jet Squelcher because it had great range + Kraken but now with the new .96 I have all of that plus the generally really hard hitting power of the .96, so it's hard to go back to the Custom Squelcher (though I imagine I'll still pick it up from time to time along with the Dual Custom). I still like using the Krak-On Splat roller from time to time too, and if I'm feeling bored I'll pull out the Splattershot Jr for the Bubbler. I'm just glad I'm no longer an overrated Aerospray main.

        1. @northernnarwhal I honestly don't see the appeal of the Aerosprays. I tried using the RG for Inkstrikes but I was awful with it. My favorite thing about the .96 is definitely the range+power, and I think that's why I like the E-Liter best out of all of the chargers too. (By this logic you'd expect me to like the Dynamo, but I'm scared of its long wind-up time. Oh well.)

          1. @redenchilada The best part about the RG is that it can cover lots of ground quickly and is really ammo efficient, so it's great for racking up high scores. Also on the chance you actually do get within range of someone you fire so fast you'll take them out no problem (though more often than not firefights with the RG will just result in tradeoffs if you're good). It's not really a weapon for racking up kills as much as it's for getting lots of points and turf. That being said, I have had some pretty great successes with it in the past (neither of those were fluke matches either). http://rainbowdash.net/notice/3936150 http://rainbowdash.net/notice/3936157 The biggest and most obvious caveat of using the RG is, as I mentioned earlier, its terrible range. That and the fact that it requires you to pretty much constantly be on the move are where many players fail with it, though experienced Aerosprayers can generally work around those admonitions.

          2. @redenchilada I just stopped using it because I was tired of getting amazing scores with usually terrible K/D ratios, so I started getting really into high range weapons like the Squelcher series.

          3. @redenchilada E-Liter is my favourite charger too for the same reasons you listed. I'm just waiting for them to release one with a scope that'll break the meta game.

            1. @northernnarwhal Meh, scopes on chargers are way overrated IMO. They narrow your field of vision immensely, which makes it hard to do a quick cursor swing to a target (the advice I've heard is that you don't wanna point at a target until you're ready to release your shot, to avoid them noticing you too soon), and the difference in perspective didn't seem to help when I tried using one.

              1. @redenchilada Yeah, it doesn't seem like it translates as well over into a third person shooter as it would into a first person shooter. Still, I know they gave the regular Splatterscope more range the regular Splat Charger to compensate specifically for that, so could you imagine an E-Liter with even more range? But yeah, the tradeoff is they'd be more likely to notice you but you'd be less likely to miss. I feel like if you learned the playstyle well enough you could reconcile the difference in perspective by picking a perch where people would approach you linearly and you'd have an escape plan on the ready. So the map would play some part in permitting it, but I could see it working.
