I'm creating a hill-dwarf monk (level 4) for a one-shot DnD 5e adventure. It's cool that you can make an Avatar The Last Airbender like monk that controls the four elements. Sadly due to the limited amount of Ki points such that there is not so much Avatar action but at least the powers do a massive amount of damage when cast. Also at level 4 there is not much to do with that feat. So I'm going with The Way of the Open Hand and slap Flurry of Blows on each enemy. That way I can better crowd control with my super speedy cannonball dwarf with 45 feet per round speed.

@adiwan That sounds ... probably very boring to someone who does not give 2 cents or has no solid clue what you are talking about. Me however, I am jealous. And although I have no idea what DnD you're playing, I sorta want to sit at a table in the wee-hours dressed up as a hill-dwarf with a solid mustashe and mithril pants, hogging the crisps and ALL the beer. ... Dwarves love beer right ?

@critialcloudkicker We're playing 4th edition Dungeons and Dragons at the moment and our campaign is nearing its end. Our characters are level 22 (epic tier) and we're correcting every FrankerZup we've done in the recent years and finally start to kick ass, including commanding an army of abominations (which are defeated by now). That said we're transitioning soon to 5th edition and we wanted to do a little one-shot adventure with the new rules to test what we want to play in the new campaign. The dwarven monk I'll have in concept is still in development with his personality. Either I make him a sailor/pirate or a hermit (the background affects starting equipment and trained skills). Dress-ups... We don't sit with costumes around a table. That would be too silly.

@adiwan Nono, LARPers would not sit around a table, unless if they were drinking beer... And I do not condone any form of Inception here. we're not going to talk about LARPers who play DnD ... But, ehmm, at least wear a crown when you're the king or something :)

@critialcloudkicker This won't gonna happen. My character is the most wanted criminal on the continent... totally unintentionally. My character was framed a murder at a gala, was executioned, revived, and he plays the role to make the governments do the right thing for the wrong reasons. A prison, alcatraz-like, with the most dangerous prisoners was held by a bunch of undying shape-shifting demons. So I used a spell to cast the voice across a large area and announced that my character was alive and was leading the demons in the prison. This was convincing enough to send armies from all nations (which were in a cold war like state) to that prison.
