  1. I'm kind of miffed because these rad dudes I like have a livestream that's pre-recorded like why would I tune in at a specific time to watch something that I might as well catch on YouTube later

      1. @rarity I mean I suppose you have to make sure nothing inappropriate happens or something right

        1. @tiffany we already run our real live shows on a ten second delay, that we can dump if someone swears

            1. @tiffany I had to use it once on a nice lady that got interrupted by someone in the background, you could hear her turning towards him and going "mothercherryER"

                1. @tiffany it really would have been hilarious if I wasn't panicking to make sure I censored it right

                  1. @rarity Was it a tone or generated silence or a straight omission or what?

                    1. @mrmattimation the way it works is, since the broadcast is on a 10 second delay, hitting the button erases the last 10 seconds of audio so it doesn't go over the air, and returns the broadcast to TRUE live, until the delay can be built back up. (it builds the delay by minutely slowing down the broadcast for a couple minutes until it's 10 seconds behind)

                      1. @rarity Oh man, so what happens if somebody drops like two f-bombs like three seconds apart?

Saturday, 19-Sep-15 00:25:35 UTC from web
                        1. @mrmattimation the procedure is to immediately dump them the second a S, F, N, C etc bomb is dropped so they don't get a second chance. Our right wing pundit show has missed them though since he barely pays attention

                              1. @rarity It IS super cool though. I love learning about all that behind-the-scenes stuff when it comes to broadcasting, I used to go onto Wikipedia articles a lot and try and read as much about it as possible.

                                1. @mrmattimation well, here's a funfact for you. We clown around like MFers during commercials. Making fun of commercials, news stories, it's fun as hell.
