@kirurakiru hello
-
@tiffany how art thou?
-
@kirurakiru I am well, how about youeth
-
@tiffany enjoying my weekend inb4 work on tuesday for me, which will suck.... like usual.
-
@kirurakiru ah yeah, I have school tomorrow
-
@tiffany college?
-
@kirurakiru it works a lot differently in England but it's kind of similar to what we call college, it's nothing like your college though
-
@tiffany are you in the UK?
-
@kirurakiru why yes I am
-
@tiffany ah, ive never been there.. would like to travel there someday.
-
@kirurakiru it's a lot different from America I'll tell you that
-
@tiffany i would assume that, i was in korea for a year... that was kinda cool.
-
@kirurakiru What kind of work put you in Korea for a year?
-
@kirurakiru oh awesome
-
@northernnarwhal it was a duty station... i'm in the army.
-
@tiffany it was a different experience... i miss it honestly...
-
@kirurakiru Ah, that makes sense. I just work in a local grocery store but I'm also going to school for audio engineering.
-
@northernnarwhal nice, so you wanna work in like a studio environment?
-
@kirurakiru Hopefully yeah, though my degree will allow for lots of other job opportunities if need be (I could end up freelancing or go into post production for audio-visual media like television, film, and games).
-
@northernnarwhal that sounds cool, sounds like you will be able to do some cool stuff.
-
@kirurakiru Yeah, I actually have some classes in an actual studio so I'm working with both digital and analog equipment. I usually get to work on an original J-series SSL console which is really cool.
-
@northernnarwhal i got you, i honestly have no knowledge of that field... but that's sounds neat though.
-
@kirurakiru Yeah, it originally spawned from my love of music and sound design but it's since evolved into its own passion for me.
-
@northernnarwhal how long have you been in college for it?
-
@kirurakiru Only about a month, but it's a very dense program so we've already covered a lot of ground.
-
@northernnarwhal how long does it take for you to get your degree?
-
@kirurakiru A little bit more than a year
-
@northernnarwhal that's not that bad
-
@kirurakiru Yeah, it means I'll be entering the workforce pretty young and won't be in tons of debt
-
@northernnarwhal that's not a bad deal.
-
@kirurakiru Plus I get to do something I enjoy, so it's pretty good all around
