          1. @kzimmermann I'm also still learning! ^_^ Why can't you input kanji? I am using Anthy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthy (with ibus).

        3. @mushi i suppose the last word means japanese, and i saw the « sun » ideogram I knew in chinese (日). Is japan realy the rising sun country ?

          Thursday, 24-Sep-15 04:53:28 UTC from quitter.se
          1. @antoine9298 yeah 日本語 means japanese, the last kanji, however, is 目 (which by itself would mean eye) , not 日,

Thursday, 24-Sep-15 04:54:43 UTC from web
            1. @mushi @antoine9298 japanese as in the language, the people would be 日本人

Thursday, 24-Sep-15 04:56:07 UTC from web
              1. @mushi  in fact it's like in chinese 人 = men/people
                Italia :
                意大利
                italian :
                意大利人
                china :
                中国
                chinese :
                中国人
                ……

          2. @antoine9298 @mushi yes you are right. The japanese kanji are from china, so chinese speakers can read almost all japanese kanji.

            Thursday, 24-Sep-15 08:39:49 UTC from quitter.se
            1. @antoine9298 @mushi 日 means sun or day (or japan), 本 literally means book. So yes, you could say japan means the sun(ny book) country :D
