@mushi ごめん! ^_^ I'm trying to attract more japanese speakers to #GNUsocial, therefore I post some news I find interesting here in #日本語! :)
-
@onetimepad so you do speak #japanese! I'd love to practice sometime. Unfortunately I can't really input kanji here :P
-
@kzimmermann I'm also still learning! ^_^ Why can't you input kanji? I am using Anthy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthy (with ibus).
-
-
@onetimepad well, it would actually be nice to have japanese speakers arround, it would be good to train

@mushi はい!That's exactly my motivation! ^_^
-
@mushi true. I revise my #french by reading posts by lanodan@loadaverage.org
-
-
@mushi i suppose the last word means japanese, and i saw the « sun » ideogram I knew in chinese (日). Is japan realy the rising sun country ?
-
@antoine9298 yeah 日本語 means japanese, the last kanji, however, is 目 (which by itself would mean eye) , not 日,

@mushi in fact it's like in chinese 人 = men/people
Italia :
意大利
italian :
意大利人
china :
中国
chinese :
中国人
……-
@antoine9298 @mushi oh you said it before
-
-
-
@mushi i mean the first « kanji » of the « word » japanese (there were a double post)
-
-
@antoine9298 @mushi yes you are right. The japanese kanji are from china, so chinese speakers can read almost all japanese kanji.
-
@antoine9298 @mushi 日 means sun or day (or japan), 本 literally means book. So yes, you could say japan means the sun(ny book) country :D

-
@onetimepad @mushi I feel like that's a language I should pick up. I'm bilingual but I've not managed to jam another language into my brain yet.
