@pony I wouldn't know, I don't really pay attention to this kinda stuff. One flaw in that theory I do know though is that's most definitely (Carrot Top|Golden Harvest)'s *sister* and not her daughter in the Sisterhooves Social screenshot. It's kinda the whole point of the event that they are sisters, so that much is certain.

@toksyuryel I agree. That was just one theory I figured I would share. I think it's more likely they're all siblings or close family friends.

@pony With the exception of the Sisterhooves Social screenshot, the others can easily be down to simple chance.

@toksyuryel true. What I find most interesting though is the s2 finale shot where Tootsie is being protected by Carrot Top. Next to Doctor Hooves this has to mean that the two are closer or equally close to one another as the Doctor and Tootsie are. Now, IF Dinky is Derpy + Doctor Hooves's daughter as so many fans like to think (without evidence as far as i can tell), and IF Tootsie is somehow related to Sparkler (implied by the Mare Do Well episode) and Carrot Top related to Dinky (implied by the shot of them on the train), then because Dinky is supposedly Sparkler's sister, this would mean that Dinky, Tootsie, Carrot Top, and Sparkler are related (possibly all sisters). That could make sense, given that Tootsie and Carrot Top are with the Doctor in the finale. Then again, it could all be coincidence. (my head hurts now)

@pony It doesn't *have* to mean that. Like I said, it could be coincidental. Especially given how chaotic the situation was there, this is not at all unreasonable to assume.

@toksyuryel !eeyup there's no certainty other than the Sisterhooves episode, but even that might not be 100% sure. After all, Sweetie and AJ were together.

@pony They were together for reasons that are the focus of the entire storyline of that episode. I doubt any of the other participants were involved in such shenanigans so we can reasonably assume all of the pairings are canon.

@toksyuryel reasonably, yes. I only hope it's consistent in future episodes, should family relationships be made apparent between background ponies. If not, meh.. oh well.
