    2. @redenchilada The end of high school was kind of bittersweet for me. On one hand I'm happy I don't have to take a bunch of useless courses I don't want or need, but I really do miss having all my close friends around me during the day and being in bands and being able to work out right after class (I can still work out at home but I don't have a lot of equipment). Looking back on it it kind of ended before I even knew it. I dunno if I'd say I sorely miss it but there were a lot of great things about it.

      1. @northernnarwhal My high school had great choices for electives so I was taking programming/web design classes and a bit of journalism which were all really fun. I think the only classes I flat-out didn't enjoy were US History and Gymnastics (batcave you I was scheduled for a normal easy P.E. semester)

        1. @redenchilada I mean, I took a ton of really great electives in my high school too (like I had an amazing drama course as well as a really interesting philosophy course) but man was stuff like Geography boring. I also had to take a Careers course that only left me more confused about what I wanted to do with my life.

          1. @northernnarwhal I had a lot of classes that could've been boring except that the teachers were really cool and made them interesting. I think the important thing was the teachers at my high school actually treated students like responsible people, so we got a lot of freedom in exchange for knowing that everyone still studied hard and did well. I still remember one time the coffee cart didn't come by and my Economics teacher interrupted a lesson so that we could go ask the special ed department if there was anything wrong

            1. @redenchilada My teachers were hit and miss but for the most my I'd say my teachers were good and I had a few teachers who were really fantastic (I had this one math teacher who was really enthusiastic and would always make really strange, hilarious, and surprisingly effective analogies and metaphors to help you grasp difficult concepts). History would've been an otherwise boring course for me too if it weren't for the fact that my teacher was hella sassy and always cracking jokes. He liked a lot of the music and films I liked too so we had good conversations. Also, your school had a coffee cart? Did they bring coffee from class to class?

              1. @northernnarwhal Only for first periods in the 100 building. It was a program the special ed department ran to help with funding and every class I had that they stopped by would always have lines when they came around. I spent so much money on muffins in high school ;n;

                1. @redenchilada Ah, that's kinda neat. All the food and drinks in my school were handled by the cafeteria (I put a ton of money into their banana bread) but they did have the special ed department running attendance.
