  1. Alternatively, someone will bring their disgusting unwashed reusable bags again. That's pretty much a constant of life.

        1. @redenchilada You mean like those little cart things people ride?

          1. @northernnarwhal Nah, I mean the ones that are like regular carts except only half as long and the baskets are smaller

              1. @northernnarwhal Oh. Well, people here love to take the minicarts and pile them sky-high full of bulky items and stuff until it would barely even fit in a full-size. I'm sure they think they're clever but trying to get everything back into one of those is the bane of my existence

                1. @redenchilada The first thing you'll learn working in retail is customers are the worst, ever. Doesn't matter what department you're in either.

                  1. @northernnarwhal Not to mention the ones who come back and start chastising me for not bagging their things exactly how they wanted. I feel like in that situation I should just find an excuse to switch registers and make them bag their own damn groceries

                    1. @redenchilada In situations like that I look off somewhere like I'm a character in The Office and imagine "The Sound of Silence" playing softly in the back of my head
