...so uh, when 2D games are made, how are character animations usually compiled? Is it a series of bitmaps or what? 'Cause I'd want to animate basically the whole game in Flash and then bring those over into the game engine.

@mrmattimation Either a series of images or a single sheet with everything, depending on the software. Clickteam stuff and GM both have functions to import sprites from either method into the engines, which is what you 100% wanna use as opposed to their default editors. (Both of them have garbo graphics capabilities)
